“There is something about God wanting to hotspot
this place... I believe they are places that God wants
to put his finger on that will act as a significant move of God
in the nation, and I believe that God wants to put his finger on this
church and on this city.
Where there has been a predictability, a normality, a ‘same old, same old’
concerning this town, God says ‘I am going to turn it around’... get ready for that in
this next season... God is about to bring some significant breakthrough for you.”
Prophetic word given to Gateway by Julian Adams, 2013Welcome
We’re at the start of 2020, a new decade, and we’re full of faith and expectancy as we look to

Gathering to pray is essential for seeing God’s Kingdom come in Swindon, the UK and the
nations of the world. Gathering to pray is a significant part of belonging to a local church
community. We encourage you to make prayer meetings a priority and commit to coming as
often as you can.
Over the term we’ll be gathering for nights of creative worship and prayer, having nights to
pray for healing, praying with other churches in Swindon, and we’ll be running two 48 hours
of prayer! Take a look at the ‘Key Dates’ section for more information.
As always, we meet to pray every Sunday morning before the meeting:
• Gateway West, 9:15 – 9:45 am, in the Mary Jones room where tea and coffee is served.
• Gateway East, 10:00 – 10:30 am, in the dance studio where our 5-11 kids group meets.
Community Noticeboard
The “Gateway Church Swindon Community Notice Board” exists to create opportunities
to find out or advertise events that are going on within the life of the church (e.g. curry
nights, film nights, workshops, etc). To get involved you’ll need to request to join the group
on Facebook, after which you can post about events you’re running, or reply to other
events to express an interest in attending. It’s a great way to connect, interact and grow as a
community.Authentic
Authentic is our youth group for school years 7–13. God’s
blessed us with many young people at Gateway, and we
want to make Authentic a place of great fun, where lifelong
friendships are formed, and where youth are equipped to live
out faith in their culture.
The term launch for Authentic is Friday 10 January, 7:30-
9:30pm. This will be a great evening where we’ll give more
details about what’s happening in Authentic this term.
There is no need to sign up for the term launch, you can just
turn up! We look forward to seeing you there.

Gateway 10:30 am Dorcan AcademyGroups
Our groups run on a termly basis. We have been running groups in this way for more than
two years and have found that, by adopting a termly approach, more people are connecting
into community life at Gateway, group leaders are refreshed through having a break between
terms, and people new to Gateway find it easier to get connected to a group.
Over the Winter/Spring 2020 term, our groups will mostly be starting in the week
commencing Monday 27 January. We have several new groups running this term (marked
with an *), as well as many groups continuing. We have groups most days of the week, and at
a range of different times, which maximises the opportunity for you to connect into a group.
