• Schools are staffed and time-tabled according to the
information on these forms
• Only those courses with a sufficient number of
students registered will be available
• Please consider your choices carefully now as there
is little flexibility in September

KEEP IN MIND:
• Online courses - for university admission online courses must
be completed by February 1.
• Repeated classes – cannot repeat at LB, upgrade online or
summer school, highest mark is reflected on transcriptCourse Selection
• Dropping courses (asking for different teachers) is problematic
• If you don’t like your mark, ask for help
• Rigour (sticking with it) counts
• You need good marks to get into university but, you also need

Post –Secondary Information • Please check out admissions requirements for different programs and schools by googling the school and admission requirements • Students/families are to research these!!! ** Impossible to know every institution/program ** Be realistic and don't take every single course you could ever need for every single program and university – this is virtually impossible
Post –Secondary Information • Most universities outside of BC don’t require a second language in Grade 11 • Most universities require a personal profile • Some universities will admit on Grade 11 marks

Post – Secondary Information • Some universities are looking at your grade 11 marks • US institutions (Gr 8 -12) • Many institutions are looking at whole student profile not just marks, in some cases, accepting students 10% below other students based on other criteria. • Broad-Based Application (grades and written reflection of connections, learning experiences/challenges and personal experiences)
