Students are REQUIRED to wear a School Uniform shirt while participating in Live sessions.

Your teachers will need to see you in a live session EACH class period in order to take attendance.

              Be sure you put on a school shirt each day and wear it for each class!

                                    Remember that School Shirts
                                   should have our logo on them!

• Official School Attendance will be recorded by the teacher in your first class of the day.

• Students who do not attend their live session for Period 1 or Period 2 WILL BE MARKED
  ABSENT for school that day.

• Class Attendance will be taken by each teacher daily.
   • Students are required to enable their camera function and attend a live session to be
      marked present for class.
   • Class attendance will be taken at the beginning of each class period.
   • If you are not on camera when attendance is taken, you will be marked absent for
      class.
   • Students who come into the session after attendance is taken will be marked tardy for
      class.

• Students must wear a school uniform shirt for all classes!

Parents can excuse a Student’s absence from school by:

• Email 7291attendance@dadeschools.net
   • The Email Subject line should read: Excused Admit
   • Include the following information in the body of the email: Student
     Name, Student ID#, Date of Absence, Reason for Absence, Parent
     Name, Parent Contact Information

• Parent Portal or Mobile App- a feature on the Parent Portal and Mobile
  app will be activated soon to also allow parents to submit admits!

 And password to sign in!
On your Portal’s main page, scroll down
   until you see the Colorful Buttons.
 Your Class Schedule will be beneath it!

You can also click on the Green Electronic
 Gradebook Button to see your schedule
             and your grades.
Click on the

button that you will find
    on your portal!

    class will be found. K12
     may only display some
       assignments so you
     should not rely on the

Students who are enrolled in a Dual Enrollment or FLVS
                class may notice a class you did not sign up for.
             We use generic course codes for Scheduling and enter the
             correct course once you have decided what you will take.
               If you see these classes listed on your schedule:

                     You will be able to pick a different class!
Make sure that you know what you
   need to graduate on time!
English              4 credits of English/Language Arts
Math                 Algebra 1, Geometry, and two additional Math Credits
Science              Biology, and two additional Science Courses (Chemistry and Physics
                     required to enter Universities)
Social Studies       World History, US History, Government (1/2 credit), Economics (1/2 credit)
Fine/Practical Art   1 Credit
PE                   Personal Fitness (1/2 credit), Fitness Lifestyle Design (1/2 credit)
Electives            8 Elective Credits (JM-MAST students will have more than 8)
FLVS                 At least 1 FLVS course

Test Scores          Passing Score on Algebra 1 EOC, Passing Score on 10th Grade ELA FSA exam
GPA                  Minimum of 2.0 unweighted GPA
Community            At least one community service project. (Minimum 100 hours to be eligible
Service              for top tier of Bright Futures scholarship money!)
