 start early and follow a rigorous, academic curriculum for all of our students. We expect our students
 to buy into our values of professionalism, self-awareness and endeavour in order that they achieve
                                                their aspirations to the maximum. Punctuality, a smart
                                                appearance and impeccable manners are key to this.

                                               We believe in the fundamental importance of good rou-
                                               tines, respectful relationships and personal integrity
                                               from all members of our community: students, staff and
                                               parents and carers. As Aristotle said two thousand years
                                               ago, ‘excellence is a habit…’

                                               We focus strongly on the key skills of literacy and numer-
                                               acy in Foundations (Years 7 and 8) to prepare our stu-
                                               dents for the challenge of GCSE. Our curriculum is a rich
                                               and varied one. Leadership is a discrete weekly lesson, as
                                               is oracy and public-speaking. Every Thursday, our Enrich-
                                               ment Programme offers students the chance to pick
                                               from a wide range of experiences, such as Performing
                                               Arts, Baking and Computing.

 Our day starts early at 8.18am when we begin our Aspire Sessions and additional literacy and numera-
 cy sessions with form tutors. Every student undertakes a period of private reading, a key part of the
 school day.
