Brisbane Boys’ College provides a limited number of Excellence Scholarships to boys who demonstrate a high
standard across a variety of schooling pursuits. Excellence Scholarships are available across three categories:
Academic Excellence, Co-Curricular Excellence and All-Round Excellence. These are available to current
students and new students to the College.

Excellence Scholarships are based on merit and level of achievement across a combination of academic, community and
co-curricular involvement.
Excellence Scholarships may cover full or partial remission of tuition and/or boarding fees, with parents required to cover
the balance of the account and all other expenses. Excellence Scholarships are subject to a yearly review.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Brisbane Boys’ College welcomes applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate excellence through a
combination of academic, community, leadership and co-curricular achievements as evidenced by school reports,
references and a Portfolio of Accomplishments. Refer to the website for the selection criteria for each of the categories:
Academic Excellence, Co-Curricular Excellence and All-Round Excellence.

SCHOLARSHIP OBLIGATIONS
Excellence Scholarship recipients are expected to meet certain obligations as part of maintaining their scholarship place
at the College. Refer to the website for the scholarship obligations for each of the categories: Academic Excellence, Co-
Curricular Excellence and All-Round Excellence.

FEES
A fee of $120 applies to submit an Excellence Scholarship application.
This fee is payable via either of the following:
1.   ACER registration;
2.   Direct to the College via submission of an online enrolment form for new enrolments to the College; or
3.   Via BBC Payway for current students or students already enrolled or on the waitlist

APPLICATION CLOSING DATE
Academic Excellence: Monday, 1 February 2021
Co-Curricular Excellence: Wednesday, 31 March 2021
All-Round Excellence: Wednesday, 31 March 2021
The Application Process
All Excellence Scholarship candidates are required to complete this Application for Scholarship form and provide the
appropriate documentation outlined in the table below, no later than the closing dates.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and all candidates will be advised of the outcome by Term 3,
2021.

Process for Scholarship candidates not yet enrolled at the College
For students not yet enrolled at Brisbane Boys’ College, as an offer of a scholarship would also constitute an offer of
enrolment, an online Application for Enrolment must also be submitted.
1.   Complete this Application for Scholarship form
2.   Complete the BBC online Application for Enrolment at www.bbc.qld.edu.au/enrol and upload this Application for
     Scholarship form along with all supporting documentation (in pdf format) in the Documentation step, under the heading
     ‘Additional Supportive Documents’
3.   Payment to apply:
At the ‘Review and Payment step’:
•    For students registered to sit the ACER test, please use the unique code BBCacad22. Payment is accepted via ACER
     registration
•    For students applying for Co-Curricular or All-Round Excellence, apply the unique code BBCexcel22 for the payment
     of $120.

Process for Scholarship candidates who are currently attending or are enrolled to attend the College
While the application requirements are the same for both new and existing families, the application process for current and
enrolled families is slightly different due to the College being able to access supporting documentation via existing records
for enrolled and current students.
1.   Complete this Application for Scholarship form
2.   Email your completed Application for Scholarship form to admissions@bbc.qld.edu.au along with any supporting
     documentation in one combined PDF document.
3.   Payment to apply:
•    For students registered to sit the ACER test, payment is accepted via ACER registration
•    For students applying only for either Co-Curricular or All-Round Excellence, a payment of $120 is required via BBC
     Payway. (Enter your son’s full name in the ‘Customer Name’ field)
