Mr. Mullis’ Weekly Letter
Quote of the Week: “Relationships are based on four principles: respect,
understanding, acceptance, and appreciation.” Mahatma Gandhi
Schools have many benefits and positive aspects about them. One of the
best is the opportunity to develop strong relationships with other students. These
relationships that are developed, some as early as kindergarten, can last a
lifetime. As the Gandhi quote says, any good relationship will include these four Important Dates
characteristics: respect, understanding, acceptance, and appreciation. I’ve seem
many friendships start here at Holy Rosary. The ones that last have these four February 18 - President’s Day -
characteristics. The ones that don’t are missing something from those four areas. No School

them. I always ask, “are you friends with them?” When they answer yes I take a March 1 - Skating Party
different approach to helping them solve their problem. If they are friends they
need to know how to respect one another so that they will take the time to
understand where they are coming from when they did what they did. Once they
do that it makes it easier to accept the friend even though they did something
that was not nice. Then they can grow to appreciate each other and the many

It’s been lost but not found because it has no name
in it. This is the time of year that our Lost &
Found collection grows. We try to give back the
Medicine Reminder
ones with names but there are so many that don’t
have a name. We always have lunchboxes, water
All medicines are to be turned in to
bottles, shoes, non-HRS clothing, etc., with no name the school office. Students are not
in it. Please remember to label everything! allowed to keep any medicine with
them. All medicines must have a
doctors note with them, even the over
the counter items like cough drops.
