Accelerated Reader
Broad S1 pupils have been set their new Accelerated Reader points targets for
General the current term. Pupils should see this when they log in at home, via glow
Education and click on the progress tab.
S1 pupils can access ebooks from the digital library service
livelifeaberdeenshire.org.uk
Their young scot card number is the card number they require to log in.
The pin number is their birth date and month in four-digit format i.e. if their
birthday was the first of January their pin would be 0101.
Pupils should continue to work on their diaries. These will be a fantastic
historical record in years to come!

and Art Classes. All pupils should check their own

S3 This week S3 pupils have been asked to make Custard Creams. They must
follow the presentation on Teams and listen to the audio commentary where
applicable. The focus of this lesson is portioning and shaping.
Please do not feel that you need to buy specific ingredients. If you do not have
access to the ingredients listed, you can choose a similar recipe. You can use any
recipe that will allow pupils to show the skills of portioning, shaping and
working in an organised way. Pupils will be asked to post a variety pictures from
different stages of the recipe.

which will take place the week beginning 18th. This week we

booklet. Folk will be at different stages but the booklet is in
the files section of the Team and has all the information you
S1 need within the booklet to get it finished. I will be available
on a Wednesday afternoon from 1.30pm to 3pm for any

For all S2 pupils this week is about finishing off your notes for
the Added Value Unit (AVU) Many of you have your booklets

as a start to your next National 4 Unit on Origins. This work

strengths and weaknesses of the Christian view of Marriage.

aimed at giving pupils digital enterprise and employability skills. This interactive
project allows pupils to work at their own pace and they can attain bronze or
silver badges for the work produced. A certificate is awarded at whatever level
pupils complete the work at. Instructions as to how to get onto the programme
will be found in the S1 IT Team. The actual programme can be found on
https://idea.org.uk. If any pupils have any issues with this programme then a
teacher is available to discuss this every Monday from 9am to 12 through posts
on the S2 IT team.

S3 Business Management – Pupils are working on S3 Virtual Café project which
can be found within the S3 Business Management Team. Instructions for this

S3 Business Admin and IT – Work for this course will be found in the S3
Business Admin & IT Team for the first online lesson a video will be posted
on the team instructing and showing the pupil how to create letterheads and

S3 Computing Science: Pupils will start to work on the Websites. To do this,
they need to have either Notepad, Notepad++ or (ideally) Brackets installed on
their computer. They are all free software that can be easily downloaded online if
not currently available (Notepad should be available on all computers). Links will
be provided on Microsoft Teams for those who need them. A PPT with all the
Broad information can be found in Files in our Team on Microsoft Teams, which pupils
General can always refer to when carrying out their tasks. Tasks and videos will be
uploaded for each timetabled lesson in the Assignment and Files tab respectively.
Education
Miss Aquilina will be available to answer any questions online during usual
timetabled lessons, i.e. Monday and Tuesday 10.50 – 11.40 and Friday 14.10 –
