COVID-19 Vaccine Update
The good news regarding COVID-19 vaccine clinics keeps getting better. All Publix stores in
Florida are now offering vaccinations in addition to other stores like CVS, Walgreens, Winn Dixie
and more! Please check the websites for these additional outlets for current COVID-19 vaccination
availability.
We are happy to report that again, there have been no new cases of COVID-19 reported at the Club
this week.
In an abundance of caution, we have amended our COVID-19 policy slightly to extend the waiting
period between exposure and testing from 3 days to 5 days to allow sufficient time for incubation of
the virus. The quarantine period for individuals who have tested positive remains 7 days in the
absence of symptoms per CDC guidelines.
Click here to see our UPDATED comprehensive guide to COVID-19 Practices and Polices at
University Park.
For those of you still in need of a vaccination, here is the most current information that we have
regarding vaccine registration in Sarasota and Manatee Counties and a link to the Publix COVID
Vaccine page.

Please use good judgement.Pickleball
Pickleball is played on clay regularly at the tennis courts every
Monday morning at 11:00 am and Wednesday and Friday
afternoons at 3:00 pm.
You must be a Sports, Tennis or Full member or a respective Trial
member to participate.
There are generally sufficient players for two courts with one court
typically designated for beginners and one court for intermediate
players. Depending on the number of players, there may be rotation
in and out of both courts.
As there is no instruction provided at these sessions, it is helpful if
players have a rudimentary knowledge of the game. Players new to
pickleball are invited to reach out to Jessica Bethoney at
jessicabethoney@gmail.com for an introduction to the fundamentals
and for information regarding local clinics and private instruction in
our area.
