Dear Parents,
Contrary to what had been announced by the Minister of Health, the vacination of the
CIUSSS territory of the west of the island of Montreal will not be organized via the
educational network.
We are currently encouraging you to make an appointment at a vaccination center near
you to have your child vaccinated: https://www.quebec.ca/sante/problemes-de-sante/a-
z/coronavirus-2019/deroulement-vaccination-contre-la-covid-19#c91977
The government is targeting a rate of 75% of young people aged from 12 to 17 years old
with a view to considering a 2021-2022 school year similar to the one we previously knew
before. It is important to reach this proportion be able to start again in the fall the
extracurricular activities and sports again.
Cycle 2 students will return to face-to-face classes every day from June 7 until the end of
the school year. The presence of all students is therefore mandatory until Monday, June
21 inclusively.
Please note that Friday June 4 is a pedagogical day and Monday June 21 is a re-
examination on invitation.
Thank you for your usual cooperation.

Vaccination for young people aged 12–17 years old
within the Montréal West Island IUHSSC

Dear parents of children aged 12 to 17 years old,

Vaccination is a family affair on the West Island.

There are a number of activities planned at the vaccination sites during the time slots reserved for adolescents to
help reduce any possible stress concerning vaccination. Music and zootherapy are just some of what we have
planned! If you are accompanying a young person, you can receive your first dose of the vaccine at the same time,
if you have not already done so. To make an appointment at the same time as your teenager during the reserved
time for young people, you can do so by calling the dedicated phone line at 514-734-7774. To make an
appointment at another time that better suits you outside of the dedicated youth time slots, you may do so by
making an appointment on quebec.ca/vaccincovid. Please note that an appointment is mandatory for EACH person
wanting a vaccine.

There are reserved time slots for adolescents and their families from June 7 to June 23:
   • evenings from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

First doses will be administered to young people aged 12 to 17 years old throughout the summer for those who
could not do so before June 23.

These are the vaccination sites within our territory.
