About
I have had a passion from an early age
for all things beautiful. After 20 years
of working in the corporate world, I
took the leap to complete an HE
 Diploma in Interior Design (graduating
                July 2021).

I believe all spaces should have a
sense of fun, through experiences felt
when within a space and the memories
left with you when you’ve long since
              left the space.

I have a special interest in colour
psychology and Feng Shui which have
a big influence on the experience felt
          when within a space.

“The essence of
  interior design will always
  be about people and how
     they live. It is about
the realities of what makes for
    an attractive, civilised,
  meaningful environment,
     not about fashion or
   what’s in or what’s out.
This is not an easy job.”

Mixing Business with Pleasure
 CLIENT Hampton by Hilton

 LOCATION London Park Royal

 BRIEF
To create a space that reflects the changes
to the hospitality industry post pandemic, is
sustainable where possible and reflects the
‘simple and contemporary’ style of Hampton
 by Hilton.

 CONCEPT
Mixing business with pleasure. A balance of
work and play. Post pandemic people want to
have fun with drinking, dining and travel. By
day a co-working space to inspire and deilight.
At night a place to unwind and connect.

Detail
                                                                Reception & Bar
The space was divided into five areas with areas
most used during the day at the front near
natural light, the bar in the centre as the hub of
the space and the restaurant in the back. The
space is open and light with pops of primary
colours groundend by calming greys, pink and
dark green. The atmosphere is relaxed yet fun
through colour, pattern and texture, creating a
space that inspires creativity. At night the bar and
restaurant become more alive. Lighting creates a
dramatic effect throught out.

Safe Harbour - Team Project
 CLIENT Body & Soul

 LOCATION London

 BRIEF
Support Body & Soul in their mission to create
 a compassionate space that nurtures
Existing Plan Modern-day Harbour Concept Image
connection, healing and growth for teen
members while being flexible to host corpo-
rate events. Creative yet budget conscious.

 CONCEPT
Sheltered from the outside world, Safe
Harbour is a space where children can
flourish and find joy in self-acceptance.

Detail
Research on trauma-informed design was key to
the success of this design, ensuring the space
was conducive to comfort and healing. The
space, although awkward in shape was revised
for better traffic flow. The space was divided into
two zones - the Active Zone in cool blues where
the children could play music, games and
connect with each other and the Rest Zone in
warming green for time alone, especially in one
of the privacy pods. As the space was in the
basement an effective and cost-efficient lighting
plan was important. Key Features

My main role in the project was as Team Leader,
ensuring delegation of tasks to the strengths of
the team members and delivering the best
quality of work on time.

 BRIEF
Kevin is moving from vibrant Brixton to
gentrified Putney. He specifically asked for
‘not another show flat’. He is surface tiday so
storage and concelaed lighting is a must. Concept Image

 CONCEPT
Kevin enjoys a mix of activities from long
distance running, yoga, reading and playing
music. All of these activites create a state in
the mind that is energising from light, quieting
of the mind that brings peace and a sense of
flow in the mind creating clarity and focus.

Detail
To create this relaxed ambiance of light, peace Model Making
and flow I used some basic principles of Feng
Shui through soft edges and hidden storage
throughout. Natural lighting was used where
possible and concealed lighting that is soft and
not jarring. Finishes and furnishings were soft,
tactile and comfortable, organic patterns and a
subdued colour palette of Brixton.

“Anything could be beauty...And
     that’s turning life into...finding not
      only beauty - amusement, joy,
           fun. Finding fun where
         sometimes it’s just a bore;
