Directory 2020 – 2021Please note: Due to the impact of the global coronavirus pandemic, it was not possible to produce an accurate and up to date directory. The IIW directory can be accessed via the IIW website: https://www.admin.internationalinnerwheel.co.uk/public/login Please supply information for 2021-22 by the due date of 1st May 2021 to ensure accuracy of information held by IIW. New Data Protection laws from May 2018 – GDPR New European Data Protection laws WILL MEAN extra vigilance about the details held by INTERNATIONAL INNER WHEEL. The data held is already restricted to those whose contact details are essential to the administration of IIW – Club Secretaries, District Chairman, District Secretary, District Treasurer, National Representative/ President, National Secretary/Treasurer/Editor, Board Directors, Executive Committee members/Past IIW Presidents. IIW does not share information with third party providers. Under no circumstances should any information from the IIW Directory or database be shared by anyone with third parties. Clubs, Districts and individuals have always been encouraged to use a specific Club or District e-mail so members are not being contacted through a personal e-mail address. It is possible also address some posted mail to a job role rather than a specific name – e.g Secretary of IWC…if that is your preference. (NB: Couriered mail does need to be a named individual and a physical address and a contact phone number as PO Box numbers are not acceptable to the couriers). Most of the communications and information sent out is included in the Library section of the IIW website and can be accessed and downloaded from there. It is possible to unsubscribe from IIW’s large group e-mails by using the Unsubscribe button that is present at the bottom of every group email. After unsubscribing no further items of this sort should be received. IIW can only hold contact details if they are freely given. When updating the details for the Directory please think carefully what information you wish to give. BY keeping the information held by IIW up to date, you are helping us delete contact information that is no longer relevant. Photographs are included as data. An individual’s choice to say “no” is paramount. Your details are your personal property. One of the other key changes with GDPR is the new emphasis it places on users’ right to access their own personal data. In simple terms, this means you can make subject access requests at any time to check the data IIW holds and what we do with it. Please contact admin@internationalinnerwheel.org, should you require further information on this issue. The GDPR also brings in a “right to be forgotten” where people can request the removal of personal data, either if they no longer want IIW to have it or if it is no longer used for the purpose it was collected. It is essential that Data is kept up to date and accurate. This is why your assistance is sought to provide up to date contact details as well as advice on when clubs disband, so that information can be removed.
