Alpha Estate Wines
Greece
ALPHA Estate is located at the northwest part of Greece, the Amyndeon, Florina region. Alpha Estate was founded in
1997 by the experienced viticulturist Makis Mavridis and chemist-oenologist Angelos Iatridis, who, after years of
experience in various locations of Greece, chose the Amyndeon region to create his own wine.

Lost Turtle Wines

Lost Turtle Sauvignon Blanc was introduced to the market in 2009. A turtle itself is a
symbol of longevity, peace and persistence and using this as inspiration, creator Peter
Papanikitas had a vision for a new label, one he would ensure incorporated this
symbolic sea creature.

Wicked Secrets
Australia
Over the last decade, female consumers have become an increasingly important market
internationally. Women generally prefer light wines, low in alcohol with a refreshing taste, creating a
higher demand for sweet, bubbly wines.
The name of the wine label came about while the winemaker was talking to his hairdresser, who told
of the many ‘wicked secrets’ she is told in confidence by customers. The same letting slip of secrets
while enjoying a drink with friends ultimately lead to the creation of the label.

Shell Bay is a contemporary Australian wine label representing
outstanding quality at a competitive price. The label was introduced
in 2006 by Peter Papanikitas, to cater to the increasing demand for
quality, boutique wines at the lower end of the price scale. This
range of wines make ideal house pour in bars and restaurants due
to their great value for money. Unlike many wines in this price
bracket, Shell Bay wines are not available in mainstream bottle

Bird of Fire

Previously called Flying Finix, Bird of Fire is a rich and elegant label of Botrytis dessert wine
inspired by the long-lived phoenix. In Greek mythology, this mystical bird is reborn from the
ashes of its predecessor, becoming a symbol of renewal and life.
The effect of Botrytis, which is actually a type of mould, is a rotting process of the fruit on the
vine, sapping the berries of moisture. Yet, despite the seemingly damaged fruit, the process
effectively concentrates the sugars and flavours within the grapes. From the decay of the fruit a
wine of extraordinary character is created, a highly sweet, rich and opulent dessert wine.

According to the legend, its origins date back more than 300 years to the presence of Christian
monks living in the hills of the Piedmont region of northern Italy. Their skills in fine food and
drinks included the art of distilling, especially the use of the wild hazelnuts and other precious
ingredients to create liquor recipes such as the one on which Frangelico is based today.
Its name is also part of the same local legend - an abbreviation of Fra’ Angelico, a hermit monk
believed to have inhabited the magnificent Piedmont hills during the 18th century.

Campari is an alcoholic liqueur, considered an apéritif, obtained from the infusion of herbs and
fruit (including chinotto and cascarilla) in alcohol and water. It is a bitters, characterised by its
dark red colour.
