in Ankeny. Each year Intensity competes alongside Perpetual Motion and Visual Adrenaline at competitions across Iowa
and the Midwest. This year Intensity’s show tells the story of a girl named Lucky, who strives to become a famous
performer. However, after becoming famous and finding fame isn't everything it’s cracked up to be she has two choices:
stay and continue her glamorous yet unhappy life or give up stardom and go back home. #FreeLucky Intensity would like
to thank the countless parents, volunteers, and supporters who help make each season possible.

Set Name: Stranger Sings

The songs in this year’s show are inspired by characters and scenes in the sci-fi Netflix thriller, Stranger
Things. As a love letter to the '80s classics that captivated a generation, Stranger Things is set in 1983 Indiana
and features a group of mid-western 7th grade boys whose lives are turned “upside down” when one of them
vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn supernatural
creatures, and one very strange little girl who possesses incredible, mental superpowers of her own! This
year, Salem Singsations will be competing at Viterbo, New London, Bloomington Kennedy, Eau Claire
Memorial, La Crosse Logan & Hastings. We are so happy to be back to a full competitive schedule this year
and wish all other show choirs the best of luck! We missed you!
