Querida familia la frase que elijo para esta oportunidad es la siguiente: “¿Qué quieres tú con
nosotros, Jesús de Nazaret? ¿Has venido a acabar con nosotros? (Mc. 1; 24), hoy los mismos
demonios reconocen a Jesús como “El Mesías”, is impresionante, dice el Evangelio unos
versículos más adelante: “todos decían, ¿y esta nueva doctrina?, ¿que es esto?”, todos estaban
es un estado de estupefacción por lo que tenían que ver y de lo cual hoy eran testigos pero la
idea que hoy me interesa trabajar es de la misma profesión de fe que hacen los demonios, increíble, pero real, los
mismos demonios reconocen a Jesús como el Hijo de Dios. Entonces, la pregunta sería: ¿Cómo hasta los demonios
reconocen a Jesús como el Mesías y lo que estaban frente a Jesús no lo podían hacer?, me refiero a los fariseos, ellos
no pueden reconocer a Jesús y lo vemos con claridad en varios fragmentos de los Evangelios cuando los mismo
Fariseos acusando a Jesús de Idolatría quieren llevarlo a la muerte. Que locura, los “demonios le tienen más respeto a
Jesús que los mismas personas”, creo que aquí está el punto esencial sobre el cual nosotros debemos pararnos a
reflexionar. No pocos a lo largo del mundo no pueden creer en Jesús, me a tocado ver como sacerdote la frialdad de
tanta gente frente a Jesús, no solamente frente a la Iglesia, si no frente a Jesús, incrédulos frente al Rey de Reyes y
fríos, hasta creyendo en estupideces como curanderas y brujas pero no postrándose frente al Rey de Reyes. Esto
sucede por dos causas: 1. Porque las personas no abren el corazón, o 2. porque nos queremos construir una Fe de
supermercado y cuando no obtenemos la oferta dejamos de vivir la Fe. La segunda es muy fuerte. Nos construimos
una fe de sentimientos basada en respuestas favorables: “Dios si me das esto... Yo hago esto; si me das esto otro…
Yo hago esto otro” déjenme decirles que este no es Dios, no es Dios de supermercado que lo compro cuando necesito
“un producto”, Dios es Dios eterno, de respuestas de Vida Eterna, de Providencia, Dios de camino junto a nosotros. Si
solo nos acercamos a él por el “milagro barato” seguro quedaré en la mitad del camino tratando de entender a Dios
hasta cuando los mismo demonios lo reconocen como Dios. Este será nuestro desafío cotidiano. Un desafío que no
podrá faltar en el discernimiento de mi opción por Dios, por el mismo Hijo de Dios que una vez más quiere tomar
liberarme de tantas cosas que me atan a lo efímero, transitorio y a este mundo, que si bien lo quiere Dios y es bueno
porque el mismo Dios así lo a querido, se alejo de su creador a lo largo de los años. Es nuestra Misión volver el mundo
a Dios para alabarlo con todo lo creado y no alejarnos más y más de la Vida Eterna.
Nuestro oración más sincera en estos tiempos difíciles de pandemia por cada una de las familias que sigue
sufriendo las perdidas de familiares y que no pueden despedir con un abrazo a esas personas que ocupan un lugar
importante en sus corazones, esperamos en Dios que esto termine pronto y podamos recuperar la vida en donde no
temíamos abrazarnos y compartir tiempos juntos riéndonos y disfrutando la vida. Pido a Santa María que ella como
Madre siga guiando a sus hijos al Hijo Eterno. Padre Julio.

tes quedaron asombrados de sus palabras, pues enseñaba como quien tiene autoridad y no como los escribas.
Había en la sinagoga un hombre poseído por un espíritu inmundo, que se puso a gritar: “¿Qué quieres tú con nosotros,
Jesús de Nazaret? ¿Has venido a acabar con nosotros? Ya sé quién eres: el Santo de Dios”. Jesús le ordenó: “¡Cállate
y sal de él!” El espíritu inmundo, sacudiendo al hombre con violencia y dando un alarido, salió de él. Todos quedaron
estupefactos y se preguntaban: “¿Qué es esto? ¿Qué nueva doctrina es ésta? Este hombre tiene autoridad para man-
dar hasta a los espíritus inmundos y lo obedecen”. Y muy pronto se extendió su fama por toda Galilea.

La comunidad hispana del Corazón de Peoria ofrece una instancia de
formación para crecer en la Fe dirigida a todos los que se quieran sumar,
creemos que es de crucial importancia los momentos de formación para
cada uno de los que formamos parte de la comunidad. Por eso te
invitamos a que participes de esta escuela a cargo de la Sra. Erika Flores
(773-543-3124) y que tiene lugar los lunes a las 6pm en la Iglesia Sagrado
Corazón.
“Orar es una forma en la que el hombre coopera con Dios, invocar a Su Espíritu y ser tocado por Dios.

de amor con Aquel que se que me ama”. Esta expe-
riencia es la que nos transforma desde lo más profun-

Secretariado Diocesano de Cursillos
Este pasado sábado 23 de enero tuvo lugar en
las instalaciones de el Centro San Juan Diego
el encuentro del Secretariado Diocesano de
cursillos. En la reunión se plantearon los
nuevos desafíos en medio de la pandemia y
temas referidos a como seguir trabajando en
estos tiempos. La reunión tuvo la presencia de
la Directora del Ministerio Hispano y del Padre
Julio Faes. Ministerio Hispano de la Diócesis
“Todos corremos detrás de algo más, pero ese algo más jamás será lo del mundo,
simplemente será Dios”
La experiencia que hacemos en la búsqueda de la felicidad ha de ser una de las aventuras
más increíbles, una de las aventuras que nos acompaña hasta la muerte, porque como
decía San Agustín: "Nos hiciste para Ti y nuestro corazón está inquieto hasta que
descanse en ti" ”, es así, nuestro corazón está inquieto hasta que descansa en Él. ¿has
sentido que tienes todo pero a la vez te falta algo?, ¿has tenido esta experiencia?, es la
búsqueda de Dios. Es el Corazón que te dice que le falta el Agua Viva que es el mismo
Señor. Por eso solo céntrate en lo más importante y déjate abrazar por el amor de Dios
que viene a cada uno de nosotros en cada instante de nuestras vidas. Padre Julio.

Querida Familia, propongo leamos el siguiente articulo a modo de información. Sepan que para pedir intenciones de
Misa deben comunicarse con Rosy Vazquez al 309-669-7525. ¿Cuál es el poder de una intención de Misa?. También
Ofrecemos intenciones de Misa durante la Semana, solo deben agendar con anticipación.
Desde pequeño he visto como muchos en mi familia han
ofrecido misas por diversos motivos, en su mayoría,
aniversarios o por aquellos familiares que se nos han
adelantado. Pero ¿qué valor tiene hacer este acto?
¿Realmente produce efectos en las personas por las que se
ofrecen las intenciones de las misas?
Ofrecer la misa por algún motivo o persona es una tradición
muy antigua, en especial cuando se hacía por los difuntos.
Desde solicitar alguna gracia en particular, el éxito de una
operación o simplemente como acción de gracias por un sinfín de razones.
Hay que destacar que cada Misa se ofrece en acción de gracias a Dios por todo lo que ha hecho. Así lo explica el
Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica: “La Eucaristía es un sacrificio de acción de gracias al Padre, una bendición por la cual
la Iglesia expresa su reconocimiento a Dios por todos sus beneficios, por todo lo que ha realizado mediante la creación,
la redención y la santificación. “Eucaristía” significa, ante todo, acción de gracias” (CEC 1360).
Además, los efectos que tiene la Misa son purificadores y de reparación, esto lo encontramos en el mismo Catecismo:
“En cuanto sacrificio, la Eucaristía es ofrecida también en reparación de los pecados de los vivos y los difuntos, y para
obtener de Dios beneficios espirituales o temporales” (CEC 1414). Por lo tanto, estos motivos son por los que se ofrece
cada Eucaristía que se celebra en el mundo.
Pero existe el llamado “fruto ministerial”, que propiamente son los beneficios que obtienen aquellos por quienes el
Sacerdote ha ofrecido una Misa en particular. Por algún enfermo, difunto, alguna pareja de novios, por alguien que
celebra su cumpleaños, etc. A través de ese ofrecimiento, el poder que tiene una Misa, por la misma gracia de Cristo
que se ofrece por todos, se enfoca en especial hacia la intención que se presentó para gloria de Dios y en beneficio de
toda la Iglesia.
En cada Eucaristía participamos todos de la oración colecta, ese momento en el que el Sacerdote recoge todas las
intenciones presentes en la Misa. Cuando se ofrece por un motivo en especial, por un lado, pedimos a Dios que
otorgue los frutos del sacrificio de Cristo a cada situación ya establecida por la Iglesia en cada Eucaristía y, por otro,
pedimos incluir algunas en particular para que entre todos de los que participamos de ese momento nos unamos de
manera especial a ellas. El beneficio de este acto no es solamente para las personas por las que se ofrece, también es
un consuelo para quien la ha encargado. Tal es el caso de la pérdida de un ser querido que, ante el dolor que produce
su partida, se busca así su descanso eterno, por lo que, al encargar una Misa por ese motivo, conforta el alma.
Asimismo, cuánto se agradece que alguien ofrezca una Eucaristía por una persona viva en razón de una ocasión
especial.
Al pedir al Sacerdote que se tome nuestra intención en la Misa, es costumbre ofrecer un estipendio en agradecimiento
y en apoyo al sustento de las necesidades que pudieran existir para la misma Parroquia o capilla. “Los fieles que
ofrecen una ofrenda para que se aplique la Misa por su intención, contribuyen al bien de la Iglesia, y con ella participan
de su solicitud por sustentar a sus ministros y actividades” (Código de Derecho Canónico 946).
