ALL SUFFICIENT
In 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV) the
Lord says, “My grace is sufficient
for you, for My strength is made
perfect in weakness.”
A s we face this new year, many of us do not know what to
do next because of Covid19, the situation in our beloved
nation, the economy etc. We need to remember that the Lord has
promised us that His grace is sufficient for us. The two meanings
of the word grace that I know of is are: (1) Grace is unmerited
favour; and (2) Grace is undeserved loving kindness. The Lord
loves us so much that He does not have to prove it – because He
gave us His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, to help us and in fact
to pay the price for our incredible debts that we owe one another
and the world and most of all God.
In the old days when we were using the cheque book, if I gave
somebody a blank cheque and I signed it, which means they could
withdraw any amount of money they required, I did not tell them
that I trusted them – my actions proved that.
When Jesus said, “My grace is sufficient for you” He meant it. We
don’t have to be concerned about what is going to happen to us
this week. What we need to do is to walk in step with Him and then
He will undertake for us.
As I am writing this letter to you it is raining gently on the roof of
my prayer room, which has no ceiling, and it is like music from
heaven. The faithfulness of God! Now maybe some people are still
gripped in this drought, but remember every drought ends with
rain – the Lord will not forsake you or me.

much time bashing something they dislike instead of taking a
more positive approach to what they do like. But that’s a personal
