Jason Grant —
stylist, author and designer.
I’m so lucky to call Byron
Bay home, it’s a magical
place filled with wonderful
things to see and do, and of
course there’s natural beauty
everywhere.
We’re fortunate that our
community is filled with
so many talented creatives,
artists and businesses. So I’ve
partnered with Brookie’s Gin
to create this ultimate guide
where I share a collection of my
personal favourites. Might see

BYRON GUIDE Eat Coffee, Brunch. If you’re like me and need some caffeine to start the day, fly into Sparrow for a coffee on the go (don’t forget to bring your re-usable cup), head into Combi for awesome smoothies and Fel’s Kitchen for pre- made yummy salads on the go. For local, fresh, nutritious and delicious food head to Barrio in the Arts and Industrial Estate or Folk, just around the corner in Sunrise. Byron General Store, Bay Grocer, Bayleaf and Top Shop are a hop, skip & a jump away for all your coffee, pastry, burger and smoothie needs. Out of town, a short drive away, I highly recommend the popular Doma café for awesome Japanese after a hike to the waterfalls or Harvest in the quaint hamlet of Newrybar. BYRON GUIDE Eat Drink, dine. We are spoilt for choice for great places to eat and drink! Enjoy a pizza after an ocean swim at Treehouse on Belongil. Light Years is my go-to for great atmosphere, modern Asian cuisine and epic cocktails. Super cute and a little slice of Greece Kouzina is a hidden gem! Rae’s is the perfect spot for late afternoon cocktails or dinner as the sun sets over Wategos. Step inside The Mez Club for Mediterranean vibes or watch the world go by while enjoying a cocktail and oysters at Loft or the iconic Balcony Bar. Sip natural wines with salty seaside snacks at Supernatural, a cute laneway bar. For Spanish style tapas head to St Elmo and for classic Italian cuisine head to di Vino. Byron’s incredible weather and
natural beauty means it’s the perfect
place for an outdoor adventure like
diving at Julian Rocks with Sundive ,
horse riding on the beach with Zephyr
Horses and swimming or surfing at

Enjoy a rainforest and distillery tour
of Cape Byron Distillery, the home of
Brookie’s Gin after visiting The Farm,
to see where your produce is grown,
and have lunch at its restaurant
Three Blue Ducks. Afterwards, head
to Stone & Wood brewery to sample
local beers.
Pamper yourself at Comma on a rainy
day and visit the Byron Bay Peanut
Butter store in the Industrial Estate.
