Youth Opportunity Program”, travelled the U.S. in
search of “hidden” talent that might have never been
known, such as: Johnny Carson, Florence Henderson,
. Art Carney, Al Hirt, Reita Green and our very own
Kae Butterfield, whose first audience was a herd of
cows on her father’s ranch in Nebraska.
Mr. Heidt discovered and then brought these
talented youngsters to this beautiful California ranch
in the San Fernando Valley, to be schooled, protected
and groomed to be the future stars of their day.
Now, Horace Heidt Jr. is proud to preserve the
legacy of his ground breaking heritage with a book
depicting the memories and achievements of his
father and invites one and all to visit the Horace
Heidt Museum, that he maintains on the property, as
a salute to his innovative and ground breaking father.
