Anything is good if it's made
of chocolate. Your hand and
your mouth agreed many
years ago that, as far as
chocolate is concerned, there
is no need to involve your
brain. Chocolate symbolizes,
as does no other food, luxury,
comfort, sensuality, and
gratification

July 22 is Pi Approximation Day. Also known as Casual Pi Day, the day is
dedicated to the mathematical constant pi (π). Celebrate pi (π) by eating
lots of pie. Pi denotes the relationship between a circle's circumference
and its diameter and is denoted by the fraction 22/7 which calculates
approximately to 3.14.
Students wrote poems, they made art work and greeting cards. They
also wrote lists of words that begin with 'Pi'. They are all as sweet as 'pi'
because pi has infinite numbers.

International cake day is celebrated on 20th July. How does one celebrate
this day? Of course, by baking different types of cakes and spending time
feasting on these delicious treats, with family and friends. Kids spent a
long day at the kitchen experimenting with different ingredients and
concoctions to create a scrumptious cake. The outcome definitely looks
irresistible!

Emotions are feelings. Our feelings change from moment to moment depending
on what's going on around us at home or with our friends.

Early learners are known for expressing their feelings and emotions and when
they are categorized to them will reflect on a time when they have felt each of the
emotions listed , such as sad, happy, excited, angry and peace.

The Junior kg kids were encouraged to create drawings to illustrate those feelings
with the help of Emoji's. Then they illustrated it with their cute facial expressions .
This activity helped kids build vital emotional awareness, mindfulness, and
communication skills.

                                                                       THE BEATS

Senior Kindergartners were so enthusiastic about performing these activities.

Handling pegs (wooden / plastic)/binder clips : Kids were absolutely thrilled by the
idea of grasping the peg and successfully fixing it on a sheet of paper, plate, ruler ,
book and pencil box. They were so curious to press open the peg using their thumb
finger and index finger. They enjoyed the challenge of successfully manipulating the
pegs.
The peg require a precise grip and depending on how the child handles the peg, it
will result in different posture of the peg on the object.

Folding paper : Paper folding for Kindergartners is a fascinating fine motor activity
and creative craft. Kids get a real sense of satisfaction. They also get to learn how to
follow instructions.

Step by step instructions were given to follow and to fold a A4 sheet .To gently press
the edges of the sheets after each fold which will result in creating an impressions
that is visible when the sheet of paper is unfolded completely.
Kids happily performed the activity and were delighted to see the rectangle shaped
boxes all over the sheet created by pressing the edges of the sheet.

                                                                       THE BEATS
