19WEDNESDAY 6TH JUNE CLUB RUN//
By Hel;en Ball
Not the warmest of days but seven cars took to the countryside.
We drove through Taradale and on out to Fern Hill then into Roys Hill Rd. Past
Maraekakaho and veering left into Whakakpirau Rd taking us up to look across to the snow
dusted mountains. Turning into Raukawa Rd and finally back along Roys Hill Rd to weave
our way to the Puketapu Park for lunch.
There had been a light shower on our travels, and John & Lee Anne in the open Austin
would have suffered the most but hopefully they dried out by the lunch stop. Yes it was still
a tad chilly, even the chooks didn’t make an appearance, but holding a hot cuppa warms you
up in no time.
The scenery is always stunning on this route, so thank you Derek for a fabulous day out.
JUST JOKING AROUND!
