                               CHAIRPERSON’S MESSAGE
Dear Amitians
I would like to congratulate my dear children on their exemplary
performance in Class X and XII Board Examination for the
academic session 2020-21. While academic excellence is our
major thrust, the school is also devoted to prepare the
students for life, groom them to face the challenges of
tomorrow, and encourage them to be socially relevant. It
always gives me immense happiness and satisfaction to
visualize Amity Universe stand tall as it has successfully
developed a holistic system where formal education has been
intricately woven with moral, spiritual and social education. The
dynamism of the young talent is being tapped, the innate potentialities of its students are being
chiseled. I believe that there is no substitute for quality education and our constant efforts to
keep ourselves abreast with the everchanging world will definitely serve the purpose of
supporting it’s students’ personal and professional development. There is every reason to
place a renewed emphasis on the humanistic dimensions of education, enabling each person
to grasp and appreciate the individuality of others, and to discover one’s own self through an
inner journey whose milestones are knowledge, introspection and humility.

As rightly quote by Albert Einstein,” Education is not the learning of facts but the
training of the mind to think.”

“THE ‘GOLDEN AGE’ MONTGOLFIER”
A wish granted by the guardian of the promised land,
A wish that was beautiful and grand!
No one can ever miss the majesty
of the time-travelling balloon, INDIA’S COLORS THREE
It can take you as far as the moon...
You just get in and see where the wind takes you,
Don’t miss the rich colour of the
eastern sky, in the airspace we flew..
Who doesn’t like to travel in the past-time and
trace the footprints of the legends?
Hop on in the balloon on an errand.
It takes you in the history and solves all the mystery
Feels great to visit the 1930’s to
know the nations father grand deed,
The renowned Dandi March, it was the hour of need..
The Irwin and Poona pact, so much to look upon,
The very year the first man to walk
on moon-Neil Armstrong was born. Saffron, the colour of bravery
As pretty as a picture, the trip was memorable, White, the colour of amity
Never a one can forget, it was unforgettable. Green, the colour of greenery
They inspire me, these colours three,
SUHANI SINGH (CLASS 8H) India’s colours three.

                                                         Kashmir’s spice like saffron,
RACING THROUGH LIFE White like the clouds in the breeze,
                                                         Our rich forests for green,
They inspire me, these colours three,
                                                         India’s colours three.

Saffron at the top tells me that my brave
                                                         ancestors watch me from above!
White in the middle tells me about the vision
of accord in the Indian air!
Life slipping slowly through my hand,
Green at the bottoms represents the plants,
there is so much I still don’t understand.
                                                         sprouting from the ground!
The burden of tasks I feel buried underneath,
                                                         In this land beyond compare!
chasing deadlines, I don’t have time to breathe.
Before I can relish, get a hold and grasp Saffron for sacrifice!
I have to move on to the next thing often with a gasp. White for peace!
A few moments of joy a few hours of break, Green for the Earth mother!
I’d sit on a beach, some sandcastles I’d make. They’re India’s colours three!
But I have to run as life is a race, They inspire me, these colours three,
every day is a lap, I have dreams to chase. Saffron, White, and Green!
Thinking of my dreams my face lights up with a smile I am proud of India’s colours three,
I get the strength, the confidence to go that extra Saffron , White, and Green!
mile.

THREE HANDS
I was dancing, dancing on the edge,
                                                                               YOU
of this lake, murky, frightening, called ‘reality’.
Spinning around, I fell to the ground,
If you hike the highest mountains,
with tears trickling down, I look at my blood red hands,
                                                                  And sail the farthest oceans,
old, dirty, may be beautiful.
If you go towards the sun,
Staring at them, I take a glance at the lake,
And all over the solar system!
I don’t see just two bleeding pieces, instead I see three.
I carry this third broken hand in between my lungs, If you go to the jungle for adventure,
it’s made of pure glass, a little different name, they call it Or find the lost city of Atlantis,
my ‘heart’. If you go to the beaches to enjoy,
Just like my bleeding hands, it unwillingly holds onto little Or reach the Bermuda triangle!
things,
and you guessed it right, it also learns to let them go. There is one thing you will miss,
Just like my bleeding hands crave to find its perfect fit, Which will always be your bliss,
My heart too craves to find its other half and share its You will never understand it,
warmth. But will always be a part of it!
And once again I look at myself, This one thing is very precious,
in this frightening lake called ‘reality’, And dearest to you,
My three hands speaking my story, You will realize it soon,
old, bleeding yet beautiful. And appreciate it too!

ISHITA BHARGAVA & KRISH KHETARPAL (CLASS 11H) And this beautiful state of euphoria,
                                                                 Imparting serenity and,
A FREE BIRD Providing confidence whenever you need,
                                                                 Is YOU!!!
                                                                                 JANISHA JOHRI (CLASS 9G)
Here comes the time when we
are locked up in our houses
Just like the animals in the zoo ,
Can’t step out of the four walls
The sky is beautiful outside, can’t step out of the four walls
Mind running like kids in open field,
thinking about all the great times,
when we were free like the birds flapping it’s wings in the open sky
Now caged like animals in the zoo .
There was a time when we were free
Just like the animals in the jungle
The sky was still beautiful, could step out of the four walls
I want to live like the animals in the jungle
Free from cages and these four walls
Just want be like a bird, flapping it’s wings in the open sky.

                                                                         SIYA MADAN (CLASS 11J)
