EDITORIAL
2018, the water in Lake Annecy is at its lowest level in history.
Awareness of this among the public and our visitors is giving us a fresh vie
of climate change. The water in Lake Annecy is of a remarkably high quality thanks
to the pioneering and innovative work of our local partners.
This year, we want to highlight other remarkable initiatives, in many areas, where
women and men are working to make our destination a sustainable alpine territory.
From local projects to outdoor activities, via short circuits in food production
and ‘little gems’ to get away from the crowd, we want to highlight what’s new
and exciting in our destination, focusing on more responsible tourism.
This diversification of what we offer in terms of tourism can be seen in leisure
activities, nature, the thought-provoking side of culture, or in the Annecy way of life.
Just like our chef, Laurent Petit, who obtained a third Michelin star last January,
with his signature dishes based on produce from the lake and other local sources,
our region is worth more than a detour, it’s worth a whole trip!
