Sunday Registration Location: Stadium Area behind the Main Lodge

*Note: Alternative parking is available for free downtown in the free all day parking
lot located off 7th street. It is an additional 20-25mins(ish) casual pedal up to the
Nordic Centre from downtown, so please plan accordingly.
Trailhead Info: leaving right from registration tent in the stadium area.

*IMPORTANT NOTE* NEW FOR 2021– You will need to purchase a Kananaskis
Day Pass to park at the Canmore Nordic Centre. If you don’t already have one
it can be purchased by using the following link:

_COVID-19 EVENT PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES_____ _
Given the increase in COVID-19 cases within Alberta and the BC interior, we will be
following all Alberta Health Guidelines with additional measures. Please help us
keep our event fun and safe for all:

•   Finish line food and beverages will not be provided (sorry, no beer tent this year).

    NOTE: In light of these changes, racers may request a $10 discount for the
    2022 Canmore Enduro by emailing Steedzenduro@gmail.com. All requests
    must be received by no later than Sept 15, 2021 (end of day). If a request
    has not been made, your $10 will be graciously donated to the Canmore
    and Area Mountain Bike Association (CAMBA) to help fund the new drop
    zone in Canmore.

•   The feed station will be stocked with many pre-packaged items (including
    products from Xact nutrition), whole bananas and bottled water or alike. All
    volunteers at the feed stations will be wearing masks and gloves and be
    controlling the dispensation of food and water. Please maintain 2 metre
    distancing while refueling. Please note we will have a limited amount of bottled
    water to help reduce waste, so please plan accordingly.

•   All racers/volunteers/spectators must carry a mask which is HIGHLY
    RECOMMENED to access building facilities and when 2 metre distancing cannot
    be maintained.
•   All award ceremony attendees must be masked, when 2 metre distancing cannot
    be maintained. All podium finishers must wear a mask for awards.

•   Any racer/volunteer/spectator experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or who has
    been in recent contact with an individual exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19
    cannot participate/attend the event (we will refund your registration if this is the
    case, don’t worry).

•   Racers must wear masks when registering in the morning and upon returning
    timer chips. If you do not come prepared with a mask at registration we will not
    provide you with a timer chip or race plate.

•   Failure to follow AHS regulations and the measures outlined above will result in
    immediate disqualification.

*If we upon the closing of registration there are 10 or more U15 women registered in
the U21 category, a U15 category will be created for the podium on race day.

_VOLUNTEERS NEEDED_____________________________
We’re always looking for volunteers. Check out our Volunteer Signup Sheet for
available shifts.

All volunteers will be provided with food and drinks throughout the day and entered
into a raffle for some great prizing.

Departure Time is the time DEPARTING from registration/staging NOT your stage
start time.

Please note the difference in registration and departure times for each category and
ONLY arrive during the designated times for your category so that we can do our
best to reduce mass gatherings and keep everyone safe.

9:55 am Mandatory racer briefing - at registration/staging area
        U15 Men, U21 Men, 40+ Men, U21 Women, 40+ Women, Open Women

10:20 am RACE START - Departure For:
         U15 Men

         40+ Men

3:30 pm Awards for all other categories, Food and Drinks (note: this may occur
        sooner but is dependent on when the last timer tag is returned)

NOTE:
• TIMING TAGS NOT HANDED IN BY 3:00pm WILL LEAD TO AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION
• ANY LOST TIMING TAGS OR TAGS NOT RETURNED WILL INCUR ADDITIONAL FEES AS
DETERMINED BY ZONE4 TIMING

_COURSE INFORMATION____________________________
The official course will be released the morning of Saturday September 4, 2021 on
the CAMBA Webpage or link in the bio of the Steedz Enduro Instagram Account
(@steedzenduro).

Come ready for 6 stages of highspeed fun, that's all we're leaking for now!

In terms of the course, come ready for around 28km of riding and approximately
900m of elevation gain with the climb to Stage 6 expected to be a short hike-a-bike
(it could also be pedalled though if you’re feeling ambitious/fit).

_TRAINING/COURSE INSPECTION_____________________
Racers are encouraged to pre-ride as much of the course as possible on Saturday
September 4th, 2021. Please ride accordingly and within your abilities.

IMPORTANT: All trails are open to multiple different recreational user groups,
please be courteous to others when riding the trails prior to and on race day

ABSOLUTELY NO TRAINING ON COURSE, HIKING OR WALKING OF THE
COURSE AFTER THE FIRST WAVE OF RACERS HAVE DEPARTED FROM THE
REGISTRATION/STAGING AREA ON RACE DAY – IF YOU ARE CAUGHT
DOING THIS YOU WILL BE IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED.

_FOOD STATION___________________________________
There will be a feed station by the Jump Park area that is accessible to racers at
about the ½ way point of the transfer/liaise route to the start of stage 4 or on route to
Stage 5.

Due to COVID-19 event precautionary measures, the feed station will be stocked

If you have dietary constraints, allergies or other food related requirements it is
expected that you will carry your required food with you at all times and have enough

_PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT __________________________
HELMETS ARE MANDATORY AT ALL TIMES, including while climbing.
Helmets must have been purchased within the past three years and have no signs of
cracking dents or other damage.

Full face helmets are definitely encouraged for all racers, especially those under 21,
but are not mandatory.

Proper footwear must be worn at all times while out on the course – no open toed
shoes, sandals, flip-flops or other will be permitted.

Knee and elbow pads are strongly encouraged.

ALL RACERS OVER 18 MUST CARRY BEAR SPRAY – NO BEAR SPRAY = NO
RACING

_IMPORTANT______________________________________
•   Racers must be self-sufficient. Please carry a small toolkit, spare tubes and
    some form of inflation device (pump or CO2)

•   All bikes must have a functioning front and rear brake, and ideally serviced to
    ensure it is running in good order prior to the event.

The best accommodations can be found at Tourism Canmore.

_CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY____________________
Refunds will only be provided to those who cannot participate due to season ending
injuries or for those who cannot attend due to the COVID-19 precautions. For more
