A Day in May by Charlie Bird
In 2015, Ireland voted to amend the constitution to
extend civil marriage rights to same-sex couples. In this
book, Charlie Bird has compiled fifty stories of people
who were involved in the campaign, or whose lives have
changed as a result of it.
A deeply personal and moving book, A Day in May shows
the human side of this historic vote, and the happiness,
sadness, tragedy, anxiety, elation, love and loss
experienced by the contributors throughout their lives.
