Expressing gratitude with #ThankYouHome Since the lockdown began, people have a single motto - Stay at home. And as the days pass by, there has been a sense of realisation among people about how important a home is. People have started appreciating the role of their homes more and feel happy in sharing their life at home, with the world. At VJ, we feel glad to have given the people a platform to express their gratitude with #ThankYouHome As more and more people continue to share their love for their home, we feel great about how they’re doing it.
A PARTNER CONNECT WEBINAR TO FIGHT UNCERTAINTY WITH UNITY. Since the lockdown, the construction activities had come to a standstill. This had resulted in a lot of apprehensions for the stakeholders of the real estate industry. It had also created a sense of anxiety about the immediate future of the business. At VJ, we decided to reassure our partners of our support in these times. On 8th April 2020, we organised a Partner Connect event. It was a webinar, which had 127 participants who were VJ’s Construction Vendors, Contractors and Partners. Mr. Aditya Javdekar, CEO and Mr. Sarvesh Javdekar, Technical Director discussed the real estate scenario as a result of COVID-19. They spoke about the outlook for real estate post the lockdown and discussed the short-term challenges and solutions. Important topics that were discussed included, motivating the labourer friends to resume work post-lockdown, since they’re are the most important human resource for the industry. The supply chain management aspect was also discussed. An exclusive platform for VJ partners, the webinar was reassuring for all the stakeholders, who expressed their delight for facilitating such discussions during this period.
CARING FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR PEOPLE AT ALL OUR PROJECT SITES 4th march to 11th march. Labourers, who work hard day and night, to create the homes we proudly handover to our homeowners, are extremely dear to us. We consider them to be an important part of the VJ family. And putting the interests of our people first, has always been our top priority. As the nation celebrated the National Safety Week from 4th to 11th March, we conducted awareness and training programs at our ongoing project sites, namely, YashOne Hinjawadi, YashOne Wakad Central, Yashwin Hinjawadi, Yashwin Encore and Palladio, before the lockdown.
Every VJ family member deserves care!
The recent outbreak of COVID 19 and the subsequent lockdown
resulted in a migrant working population trying to get back home. In
all this, many labourers who work at various VJ project sites, didn’t get
a chance to do so.
The Lockdown announcement and the insecurity of being away from
home, gave them reasons to worry about the uncertain times ahead.
But at VJ, we believe that every member of the VJ family deserves the
best-possible care.
So while our homeowners were safe at the VJ homes, we decided to
support these labourers and give them a sense of security.
As a part of this, we’ve been distributing food packets among them.
Each packet consists of 5 kg flour, 3 kg rice, dal, turmeric powder, chilli
powder, vegetable masala and soap. The idea was to ensure sufficient
nutrition and sanitisation for them.
Since the lockdown, we’ve distributed food packets among VJ site
labourers. The packets are being distributed on a weekly basis to
replenish their stocks. We’re sure, we’ll sail through this as one family.

Everyone played a dry Holi with smiles on the faces and memories for a lifetime. These celebrations here before COVID lockdown.
BUILDING CONFIDENCE BY IMPROVING COMMUNICATION SKILLS. At VJ, we love what we do and every member of Team VJ tries to take up more responsibility to deliver more and better than what is expected. But, to continue to take up more responsibility, regular training and skill development is needed. To ensure that all the team members have thorough clarity in communication, Mrs. Asmita Javdekar conducted a 2-hour Master Class, to enhance the spoken English skills of the employees. On 6th March 2020, Mrs. Javdekar initiated this extensive course module created by British Council, which earned a good response of employees from all departments of VJ. Open to employees across teams and levels, the course is another step towards making the organisation, more people-friendly.
Solving people’s home issues during the lockdown. With a long lockdown, many people had started facing electrical and plumbing issues at home. With no professionals available to fix it, VJ decided to come to the help of its residents and homeowners, free of cost. Through EPIC (Electrical & Plumbing Issues Corrected), we fixed the issues faced by residents of VJ homes in Pashan, Hinjawadi, Sus, Tathawade, Wakad, Baner & Bavdhan. The service was availed by many VJ Customers, who were extremely happy with the service.
