                                    From the Principal’s Desk
Dear Parents and Students:
As we prepare for our final quarter of the 2020-2021 school year, I want to again thank our faculty, staff, administrators,
students and our parents for their steady support, patience, and understanding as we continue to navigate these unique
times together. Together We Rise!
We are completing the final steps of the registration process for the 2021–2022 school year. We truly appreciate the
diligence our parents and students have shown toward this important endeavor. Many thanks to our dedicated school
counselors, registration staff, and student services staff for their continued efforts with this year’s registration process.
Additionally, as we continue to administer important testing on campus, we thank you for your support in that area as
well. Special thanks to our Testing Administrator, Ms. Arika Sutton, Testing Coordinator, Ms. Lauren Axelrod, and the
media center staff for their excellent job in coordinating and communicating testing for our students!
Lake Howell Class of 2021: The Lake Howell Graduation Ceremony will be at the Bounce House on the University
of Central Florida’s Campus May 18, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. Thank you for your patience and support as we were working
behind the scenes to secure the site for our ceremony. Please note – this has changed from the information shared in
the February letter to seniors and parents. Additional information regarding this special event and other senior activities
will be forthcoming. Questions regarding graduation may be directed to detra_dopson@scps.k12.fl.us, or to victoria_
lampe@scps.k12.fl.us.
With the end of this school year approaching, we welcome and invite your involvement in helping us become an
even better school. With your support, we can look forward to improving upon our tradition of academic, athletic, and
arts excellence! Together all of us make a difference! STAY HAWK STRONG; and as always, GO SILVERHAWKS!

Sincerely,

Michael D. Howard
