11:30 – 1:00 PM Lean In Energy Lunch: The 50 Ways to Fight Bias
Bias is holding women and minorities back in the workplace. Whether deliberate or
unconscious, bias makes it harder for underrepresented to get hired and promoted and
negatively impacts their day-to-day work experiences. This makes it hard for companies to
level the playing field. Join us for an interactive lunch with Lean In Energy, the industry’s first
global mentoring initiative aimed at giving access and leveling the playing field for women,
including men in the process.

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM The Energy Revolution in the Era of Trump
After much anticipation, the United States surpassed both Saudi Arabia and Russia last year
to become the world’s largest crude oil producer. Fracking is novel but a contested energy
technology – so what makes some countries embrace it whilst others reject it? How are the
geo-politics changing the face of energy in an era of Trump and climate change?

salary and benefits they desire. In the gig economy, entrepreneurship is also providing new
career pathways for experienced hires who are opting out of the traditional career. What
‘shifts” do energy companies need to happen to attract and retain this coveted workforce?
What role are male leaders playing in the war for talent?
