JUDGE'S BRIEFING AT 8:15 A.M. Adult terriers may not cross-enter between regular racing classes, veteran racing
classes and senior racing classes. There are some changes in the 2020 Rulebook regarding championship races. Racing
champions are determined by a run-off of the first-place terrier in each class in each section. Qualifications for
championship run off: a. Terrier must FINISH BOTH a flat and a hurdle race as defined in rule 8 (reaches backside of the
barrier unassisted by the owner). b. Terrier must place first in the final race for that class. First place may be in flats and/
or hurdles. c. Terrier who has not entered or FINISHED a race in both flats and hurdles is not eligible for championship
runoff and the second-place terrier qualifies for championship runoff if that terrier meets the criteria listed above. The
2020 rulebook is available at www.therealjackrussell.com/trial/rulebook.php. For other information about racing, go to
www.therealjackrussell.com/trial/racing.php. Racing ribbons presented in main pavilion after racing is completed.
