One of rock’s most influential and enduring singer-songwriters,
JESSE COLIN YOUNG, who first made history with the Youngbloods
on their classic ‘60s peace anthem “Get Together,” and who has
amassed a loyal worldwide over the past five decades, will
release an album of re-imagined classic hits entitled, HIGHWAY
TROUBADOUR on November 27, 2020. Born Perry Miller, “Jesse” was
born in Queens, NY. With his band The Youngbloods, Jesse would
go on to release 10 studio albums, all charting in the US top 200.
Their debut and self titled Album, The Youngbloods would prove to
be one their most successful. The Youngbloods toured consistently
from 1965 to 1985 while embracing their Folk Rock / good time
attraction. Their sound would temper their Blues and Jugband
influences with gentle California psychedelia. Jesse Colin Young
has released 18 albums, 19 singles and eps, and has accrued over
200 writing and performance credits in his career. Today, Jesse
continues to tour with his own 8 piece band, consistently selling out

with a ferocious harmonica solo on
‘Church Of Me’.
The resulting record finds Seasick Steve mixing up all of his much-loved
ingredients to deliver a fresh new record that offers the perfect antidote for
the troubled times in which we live. Full of hope for the future, it’s a great mix
of boogie, blues, rock, Americana and folk – all delivered in his unique style.

“SulaMadiana” is a cornucopia, spilling out reverberations of Miles
Davis, Gong, and previous works of Molvær, and yet Molvær and Cinelu
open up doors to entirely new worlds. The album title is not some
ancient spell, but a confession to the musicians’ respective biographies.
Sula is the island from which Molvær stems, Madiana is a synonym
for Martinique, where Cinelu’s father comes from. “SulaMadiana”
combines all which is perceived as trusted, familiar, and achieved, with
a notion of sounds beyond the horizon: glittering, shimmering, and
always promising. “SulaMadiana” is a world within itself, waiting to
be discovered. The album will easily make its stand amongst previous
creations of unmistakable sound worlds, such as Miles Davis’ “Bitches
Brew” or Pat Metheny’s and Lyle May’s “As Falls Wichita So Falls Wichita

“We didn’t think about the logistics. We just cared about getting like-minded people
working on something to see through our vision.” Gone Is Gone is a new band, but
it’s not. It began a few years back, a joint project by movie trailer composer Mike
Zarin and composer/drummer Tony Hajjar of At The Drive-In. Introduced by a
mutual friend, the pair first joined forces to create film music for Zarin’s music
production company, Sencit. It was instrumental music intended for film trailers—
music that was very well received within the industry. So much so that they recorded
more, which was equally well-received. “We started just writing,” recalls Zarin. “And
we expanded the style—within some sort of sub-genre—and we had this one
particular song that people kept using. Then they started asking us for more like this
song. And we were like, ‘We think we stumbled onto a sound here.’
They brought in guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, a friend of Hajjar’s who’s known for
his work with Queens Of The Stone Age, A Perfect Circle, Failure, Sweethead, and
much more. “We played him the music we’d been doing,” says Zarin. “‘We want to
start a band like this,’ we told him. ‘Let’s do this.’” “And he’s like, ‘Cool, man, that
sounds awesome.’” Then the finishing touch: the addition of Troy Sanders, bassist
and vocalist for multi-Grammy nominees Mastodon. “He was on board right away,“
says Zarin.
As Troy Sanders has said in interviews, "nobody in Gone is Gone needs another
band," but they seem to continue to find the small gaps of time to create together or
separately. With so many reasons not to do the project, they have always found ways
of never giving up on it.

“We didn’t think about the logistics. We just cared about getting like-minded people
working on something to see through our vision.” Gone Is Gone is a new band, but
it’s not. It began a few years back, a joint project by movie trailer composer Mike
Zarin and composer/drummer Tony Hajjar of At The Drive-In. Introduced by a
mutual friend, the pair first joined forces to create film music for Zarin’s music
production company, Sencit. It was instrumental music intended for film trailers—
music that was very well received within the industry. So much so that they recorded
more, which was equally well-received. “We started just writing,” recalls Zarin. “And
we expanded the style—within some sort of sub-genre—and we had this one
particular song that people kept using. Then they started asking us for more like this
song. And we were like, ‘We think we stumbled onto a sound here.’
They brought in guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, a friend of Hajjar’s who’s known for
his work with Queens Of The Stone Age, A Perfect Circle, Failure, Sweethead, and
much more. “We played him the music we’d been doing,” says Zarin. “‘We want to
start a band like this,’ we told him. ‘Let’s do this.’” “And he’s like, ‘Cool, man, that
sounds awesome.’” Then the finishing touch: the addition of Troy Sanders, bassist
and vocalist for multi-Grammy nominees Mastodon. “He was on board right away,“
says Zarin.
As Troy Sanders has said in interviews, "nobody in Gone is Gone needs another
band," but they seem to continue to find the small gaps of time to create together or
separately. With so many reasons not to do the project, they have always found ways
of never giving up on it.
