1 RULES
1.1 The event is governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
1.2 [DP] Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the following prescriptions, which can be found on the event
website at the appropriate time, will apply:
1.2.1 The infection control and hygiene regulations of Flensburger Segel-Club and Hanseatischen
Yachtschule Glücksburg valid at the time of the event; and
1.2.2 The hygiene concept for the event. This may include mandatory Covid-19 antigen rapid test at
the event venue.
1.3 In all rules governing this regatta:
[NP] denotes a rule that shall not be grounds for protests by a boat and for which the protest committee
may refuse to hold a hearing. This changes RRS 60.1(a) and 63.1.
1.4 [DP] Competitors shall comply with RRS 40.1 at all times while afloat.
1.5 No national prescriptions apply.
1.6 If there is a conflict between languages the English text takes precedence. For the regulations according
to NoR 1.2, the German text will take precedence.
2 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The Sailing Instructions will be available on the event website from September 13th 2021 on.

3 COMMUNICATION
3.1 The official notice board is located on the event website.
3.2 [DP] All boats shall carry a VHF radio capable of communicating on VHF channel 15.
3.3 On the water, the race committee will make courtesy broadcasts to competitors on VHF channel 15.
3.4 [DP] While racing, except in an emergency, a boat shall not make voice or data transmissions and shall
not receive voice or data communication that is not available to all boats.
4 [NP] [DP] ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
4.1 The event is open to all boats of the 12mR class holding valid measurement certificates.
4.2 A final crew list signed by the skipper shall be delivered to the race office upon registration.
4.3 The person in charge shall provide a valid official licence prescribed or recommended for the racing
area and type of drive. This may be either an official licence or an equivalent DSV licence, “Sportse-
gelschein” or for the relevant age group a “Jugendsegelschein”. Members of other national authorities
shall provide an equivalent licence issued by their national authority.
4.4 Each competitor shall be a member of a club affiliated to his national authority of World Sailing.
4.5 Eligible boats may enter the event by registering online on the event website.
4.6 To be considered an entry in the event, a boat shall complete all registration requirements and pay all
fees until August 31st 2021.
4.7 Entries after August 31st 2021 may be accepted at the sole discretion by the organizing authority.
5 FEES
5.1 Entry fees is € 195,00 per crew member registered.
5.2 Other fees:
5.2.1 The harbour fee for all support person vessels will be set by the FSC harbour masters.
5.2.2 Social events are planned on Friday and Saturday, for which additional tickets can be purchased
at the race office. Further information on this will be posted on the event website at a later date.
5.3 The entry fee shall be paid to the bank account of Robbe & Berking Classics at HypoVereinsbank,
BIC: HYVEDEMM300, IBAN: DE21 2003 0000 0638 7449 38 naming the event, the name of the
helmsman and the sail number.
5.4 The entry fee shall be paid upon entering, even if the entry is cancelled later or the boat does not show
up. The entry fee is non-refundable, except for the event being cancelled by the organizing authority or
if the entry is rejected.
6 [DP] ADVERTISING
6.1 Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.
6.2 It is prohibited, both in the area of the shore facilities and jetties and on board the boats, to distribute
or display advertising material or to attach it separately to the boats and harbour facilities without the
prior written permission of the organizing authority.

7.2 Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the possible restrictions, additional information regarding social
events on Friday and Saturday night will be posted on the event website at a later date.
7.3 Time and place of the skippers meeting will be announced on the event website at a later date.
The skippers meeting may be held by using online means.
8 EQUIPMENT INSPECTION
8.1 Each boat shall produce or verify the existence of a valid measurement certificate.
8.2 Boats may be inspected at any time.
9 VENUE
9.1 The event will be hosted at the grounds of Flensburger Segel-Club.
9.2 The race office will be located on the ground floor of the FSC clubhouse, Quellental,
24960 Glücksburg, telephone: +49 (0) 4631-3233.
9.3 The racing area will be Flensburg Fjord. Addendum “Race Areas“ shows the location of the race areas.
10 COURSES
The courses will be windward/leeward courses for the races on Friday and Sunday and a distance race
on Saturday. Details will be defined in the Sailing Instructions.
11 PENALTY SYSTEM
11.1 RRS 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty.
11.2 The intention is to appoint an international jury in accordance with RRS 91(b). The right of appeal
from an international jury decision is denied as provided in RRS 70.5.
12 SCORING
12.1 One race is required to be completed to constitute a series.
12.2 a) When fewer than four races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race
scores.
b) When four or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race
scores excluding her worst score.
12.3 RRS 90.3(e) applies.
13 [DP] SUPPORT PERSON VESSELS
13.1 All support person vessels shall be registered with the organizing authority. When support persons are
present in the racing area, they are required to comply with local legislation and – if applicable – the
´Event Support Team Regulations´, that will be posted on the event website. The organizing authority
may refuse registrations and accept later registrations at their sole discretion.
13.2 Harbour fee according to NoR 5.2.1.
13.3 The use of the FSC slipway is free of charge. The use of the crane will be charged with € 25,00 per
operation.
13.4 Support person vessels may be required to display identification supplied by the organizing authority.
13.5 The person registering the support person vessel shall confirm that:
a) a valid insurance certificate showing proof of third-party liability coverage as required by NoR 13.9;
b) each designated driver has a motorboat driving license recognized by a national authority appro-
priate to the shipping waters; and
c) anyone who will be using a radio has an appropriate radio operation license recognized by a national
authority.
13.6 Support person vessels shall carry on board:
■ life jackets / personal flotation devices for all passengers and the driver;
■ first-aid kit;
■ VHF radio;
■ device for making sound signals;
■ compass;
■ adequate anchor and tackle for conditions and depth;
■ tow rope (minimum 20 m long and 10 mm thick);
■ operational engine kill cord (also known as a safety lanyard or automatic engine immobilizer);
■ hand pump or bailer;
■ knife;
■ any additional safety equipment required by local maritime law.

www.robbeberking.com13.7 Support persons shall wear personal flotation devices at all times while afloat, except briefly while
changing or adjusting clothing or personal equipment.
13.8 The drivers of support person vessels shall use the kill cord at all times while the engine is running.
13.9 Support person vessels shall be insured with valid and for the racing area suitable third-party liability
insurance with a minimum cover of € 3,000,000 per incident or the equivalent.
14 [DP] BERTHING
14.1 All boats must be moored at the Glücksburg yacht harbour of Flensburger Segel-Club. Free mooring is
available from September 12th to September 19th 2021.
14.2 Boats shall be kept in their assigned places while in the harbour and the club area of FSC/DHH.
15 [DP] HAUL-OUT RESTRICTIONS
Boats shall not be hauled out during the event except with and according to the terms of written
permission of the race committee.
16 [DP] DIVING EQUIPMENT AND PLASTIC POOLS
16.1 Underwater breathing apparatus and plastic pools or their equivalent shall not be used around boats
between the preparatory signal of the first race and the end of the event.
16.2 Boats shall not be cleaned below the waterline by any means between the preparatory signal of the first
race and the end of the event.
17 [DP] MEDIA RIGHTS
17.1 Upon registration to the event competitors agree that photos and videos may be taken of their person
and used as part of the organizing authority’s public relations activities, e.g. via websites, newsletters,
print and tv media and social networks. In addition, competitors or their guardians grant to the
organizing authority without compensation the unlimited right to use images, photographs, television,
and radio material produced of them during the event.
17.2 Competitors may be required to be available for interviews at the event.
18 DATA PROTECTION
The organizing authority will process and store personal data collected from entering and participating
in the event. Addendum “Data Privacy Policy” gives relevant information and details. This addendum is

19.1 The responsibility for the decision to participate in a race or to continue with it is solely with the
skipper; to that extent the skipper also accepts full responsibility for the crew. The skipper is responsible
for the qualification and the correct nautical conduct of the crew as well as for the suitability and the
seaworthiness of the registered boat. In cases of force majeure or on grounds of administrative orders or
for safety reasons, the organizer is entitled to make changes in the realization of the event or to cancel
the event. This does not constitute any liability by the organizer towards the participant, if the reasons
for the changes or the cancellation do not result from a wilful or grossly negligent behaviour of the
organizer. In case of a violation of obligations that do not constitute main / essential contractual duties
(primary obligations), the liability of the organizer for financial and property damages incurred by the
participant during or in connection with the participation in the event and resulting from a conduct of
the organizer, its representatives, servants, or agents, is restricted to damages that were caused wilfully or
grossly negligent. When a violation of primary obligations occurs due to minor negligence, the liability
of the organizer is limited to foreseeable, typical damages. To the extent that the liability for damages of
the organizer is excluded or restricted, the participant also relieves the staff - employees and representa-
tives, agents, servants, sponsors, and individuals who provide or drive salvage, safety or rescue vessels or
assist with their use - from the individual liability for damages, as well as all other individuals who were
instructed to act in connection with the realization of the event.
19.2 World Sailing’s effective Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the constitution and regulations of German
Sailing Association (DSV), especially its regulations on regattasailing (Ordnungsvorschriften Regat-
tasegeln), the class rules as well as the regulations of the Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions are
to be complied with and are expressly recognized.
19.3 German law applies.
19.4 Competitors shall present a signed and completed consent and declaration form at registration. For
competitors under 18 years of age these forms shall be signed by a parent or guardian. The forms can be
downloaded from the event website.
20 [DP] INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid (and for the racing area suitable) third-party liability
insurance with a minimum cover of 3,000,000 EUR per incident or the equivalent.
21 PRIZES
21.1 Prizes will be awarded to the best overall scored boats. There will be one prize awarded for every five
boats entered but at least three prizes regardless of the number of entries.
21.2 Additional prizes may be awarded for the different groups of boats.
21.3 The distance race on September 18th is also part of the event ‘Das Blaue bzw. Blau-Gelbe Band der
Flensburger Förde’ (Blue/Blue-Yellow Ribbon of Flensburg Fjord). Additional prices for this event are
published in it’s the Notice of Race and/or Sailing Instructions.
21.4 The winner will be awarded with the “Robbe & Berking Sterling Cup”.
