NZ Masters Games Wellington players shine A number of our Masters Div 2 players attended this event last weekend and recorded a number of impressive results. Team Event. Auckland Open 2020
With a heavy calendar in 2020 this has
seen the North Island/Auckland Open
played extremely early. One reason to give
players quality matches before the Oceania
Championships in Victoria.
Great to see our players Aidan Karati, Avinash Shastri and Te Ao Kura
Ormsby playing this event in the first weekend of February.

2020 BW
Membership
Registrations
Memberships have come due as at 01/01/2020 and we are now after 1
months grace period in the process of changing peoples memberships
to Non-Member.
There are two ways to register as a member, directly via the Pro-Shop
OR as a FULL member of one of the evening clubs i.e. Te Arawa,
Southern or Wellington club.Directly (Via the Pro-Shop) and paying $100.00. Complete and submit the on-line registration form and receive BW Member privileges plus Member card which acts as your access card and enables you to play 7 days a week from 6.00am to 11.00pm. Membership expires 31/12/2020 regardless of when you sign up. Membership in 2020 will be for a calendar year i.e. 01/01/2020 – 31/12/2020. Joining up with either of the 3 evening clubs(Te Arawa – Monday evenings, Southern – Wednesday evenings or Wellington – Thursday evenings). By paying, either of the clubs FULL playing fees for the entire Winter season or till the end of the Year, you will be acknowledged as a BW Member once you have completed and submitted the on-line registration form. Those members via a club who wish to have a Membership/Light/Access card will pay a one-off fee of $20.00 for the card if they don’t already have one. This is a one-off expense and the card will remain active till you close it down or no activity on it for more than 2 years. Those club members who qualify for BW Membership via their club membership sub being paid do not need to have a card should they not want one. All members need to fill in and submit the on-line registration form to get the initial FREE re-string voucher and the $40.00 credit on their Court hire account (BW Membership/Light card account). Those who do not want a card and have filled in the registration form will have a court hire account set up for you (but no card issued), you can collect your FREE re-string voucher from the Pro- Shop plus your court hire account will have $40.00 credit deposited into it. Zealand Open
Following an incredible 2019,BNZ are now busy preparing for the
Barfoot & Thompson New Zealand Open 2020.
During this event we require 100+ volunteers to act as interpreters,
line judges, drivers, spectator assistants and more.
It would be appreciated if you could distribute the attached Volunteer

In addition to two weeks of competition, Badminton NZ is also looking forward to hosting a BWF Coaching Conference, BWF Council Meeting, a Player Cultural Day and the New Zealand launch of AirBadminton.
