Government of Odisha in association with FICCI is organizing
the Second Odisha Travel Bazaar (OTB) on October 05-07, 2018
at Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
Odisha Travel Bazaar 2018 will be organised to discuss and
showcase the true potential of Odisha as a tourist destination.
The USP of the Summit would be the exclusive focus on
the business of inbound and Domestic tourism, Prefixed,
Structured, Organized Buyer – Seller Meet spread over two
days - transacting and capitalizing on business opportunities
between International, Domestic buyers and Sellers of Odisha

Tourism Products at the booths of the Sellers.
There will be 60 foreign Tour Operators and 10 leading
Domestic Tour Operators from across India participating as
TRAVEL BAZAAR Hosted Buyers along with 10 leading investors from various
sectors from across India. The Tourism fraternity of Odisha

comprising of Hotels and Tour Operators will be promoting the
Tourism products of Odisha as Sellers.
This year an exclusive pre event Familiarization (FAM) Trip is
being organized for the participating Hosted Buyers to enable
them to gain a first-hand experience and increase their product
and destination knowledge.FAM 1 - Buddhist Sites and Golden Triangle

The FAM Tour I starts from Bhubaneswar will cover Buddhist Sites and Golden Triangle. Covering
Dhauli (Shanti Stupa) a historical place associated with famous Kalinga War and Peace (3rd century
BC); Raghurajpur famous for Pattachitra paintings and a Heritage Village; Jagannath Temple,
Konark Sun Temple is a world heritage monument known worldwide for its grandeur and artistic
excellence. Lalitgiri, Ratnagiri & Udayagiri a major Buddhist complex in the Indian state of Odisha
comprising major stupas, ‘esoteric’ Buddha images, and monasteries, one of the oldest sites in the
region followed by Boat ride and National Park visit.

Leave Bhubaneswar Dhauli
Dhauli is a historical place associated with famous Kalinga War and Peace
0800 Hrs (3rd century BC).The great Mauryan King Asoka had written here in his Edicts,
about the people of Kalinga with an elephant figure atop. In the year 1972 a
Shatni Stupa -the reminiscence of Buddhism is constructed here to spread
the message of peace and brotherhood.
Leave Dhauli for Raghurajpur, Enroute visit Pipili

Raghurajpur is famous for Pattachitra paintings and a Heritage Village

Puri-the holy city famous for the shrine of Lord Jagannath and pristine Beach

1100 Hrs - The Ruins of Earliest Buddhist Site of India (3rd century B.C to 13th century
1230 Hrs A.D.) having number of Buddhist monuments Relic Caskets found here from
the Mahastupa.

1600 Hrs A famous Buddhist site having Mahastupa, Monasteries, museum and
Vajrayana pantheons amidst picturesque hilltop
Udayagiri Site Visit
1600 Hrs - A unique Buddhist Site that tells the story of rise and fall of Buddhism from
1800 Hrs 2nd century BC to 13th century A.D. Number of Stupas and Monasteries are
there to know the leaf of culture and civilization in picturesque Valley.

1000 Hrs - Bhitarkanika is famous for its Bio-diversity, one of the largest crocodile

This FAM tour will cover exclusively the Golden Triangle of Odisha which is an incredible travel
destination of Odisha. The Golden triangle includes exquisite beaches, historical monuments and
heritage, wonderful international level handicrafts and applique villages and beautiful sites for
migratory bird watching. The tour starts from Bhubaneswar visiting Dhauli Shanti Stupa covering
Puri, Konark, Chilika, Raghurajpur and Manglajodi and coming back to Bhubaneswar to see the
Khandagiri and Udayagiri Caves.

1300 Hrs The Sun Temple Konark is a 13th-century World Heritage Monument. It is a
poetry in stone built by king Narasimhadeva I of Eastern Ganga Dynasty.

Of all the states of India, Orissa has the largest number of tribes, as many as 62. in terms of
percentage they constitute an impressive 24 percent of the total population of the state. These
tribes mainly inhabit the Eastern Ghats hill range, which runs in the north-south direction. The
weekly markets or HAAT is also a life line for Tribes where they batter their weekly needs and it is
a fantastic sit for the tourists also and are worth visit. This FAM trip revolves around these life and
culture of Tribal Odisha and will try to bring the beauty of Tribal Odisha to the visitors.
