Page 1 of 6 ATVBC Membership Promotion – Canadian Tire Gift Card Giveaway February 22, 2021 OFFICIAL GIVEAWAY RULES 1. Eligibility: One (1) $25 Canadian Tire gift card (The “Giveaway”) will be available in each month (March 2021 – October 2021). The Giveaway is open only to those who join or renew membership with ATVBC and who are 19 years of age or older as of the date of joining or renewing. The Contest is only open to legal residents of British Columbia and is void where prohibited by law. Employees and directors of ATVBC, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively the “Employees”), are not eligible to participate in the Giveaway. The Giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations. To be clear – purchase or renewal of an ATVBC membership is required to receive an entry in the Giveaway, along with answering a skill-testing mathematical question. 2.Agreement to Rules: By participating, the entrant (“You”) agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of ATVBC as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Giveaway. 3. Giveaway Period: Members who join or renew or whose join or renewal documents are received by ATVBC between March 1, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. and October 31, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. will have one (1) entry in the Giveaway per membership type (primary, combo or family – one entry per single, combo or family purchase or renewal). Entries will be entered into the monthly Giveaway draw in the month the new membership or renewal is received at ATVBC’s head office. (Memberships sent to ATVBC’s head office may not arrive in the same month that the membership purchase or renewal took place). 4. How to Enter: Join or renew ATVBC membership online at https://atvbc.ca/membership- options/ or through your local club, or at participating dealerships and insurance brokers. One (1) entry will only be entered in the contest period calendar month the join or renewal documents arrive at ATVBCs head office. One (1) entry will be provided for each membership type (single, combo or family). E.g. a family membership with 5 family members will have only 1 Giveaway entry in the name of the ATVBC membership main contact and only one (1) in the month the entry arrived at ATVBC’s head office. 5. Prizes: The Winner of the Giveaway (the “Winner”) will receive one (1) $25 Canadian Tire Gift Card valued at $25. One (1) prize of a $25 Canadian Tire Gift Card, valued at $25 will be given away each month, for a total of 8 prizes. The prize is non-transferable. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for ATVBC to use Winner’s name for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law. 6. Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. 7. Winner Selection and Notification: Winner will be selected by a random drawing using https://commentpicker.com/business-instagram.php under the supervision of ATVBC. The winner must correctly answer a timed, skill-testing math question without use of a calculator or other aid. Winner will be notified via email or telephone within five (5) days following selection of Winner. ATVBC shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail, or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 14 days from the time award notification was sent, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate Winner will be selected. Rights Granted by You: By entering this Giveaway, You understand and agree that ATVBC, or anyone acting on behalf of ATVBC, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Contest, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes. without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent. 9. Limitation of Liability: By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless ATVBC and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries. 11. Disputes: THIS Contest IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF CANADA AND BRITISH COLUMBIA, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall You be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than Your actual out-of- pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with entering this Contest). You further waive all rights to have damages multiplied or increased. 12. Privacy Policy: Information submitted with an entry is subject to the Privacy Policy stated on the ATVBC website.
