Courage Canada Hockey for the Blind is hosting the 2nd annual Courage Canada National Blind
Hockey Tournament at the Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Gardens (formerly Maple Leaf Gardens)
in Toronto, March 21 – 23, 2014.

The event will feature 60 hockey players from across the country who are blind or partially sighted,
who will compete in 8 games over the course of the weekend to determine who earn the title of
national champions!

Courage Canada is a registered charity that provides life changing hockey programs for Canadian
children and adults who are blind or partially sighted at no cost! As such, we rely on corporate
sponsorship, grants, and donations to continue to operate and expand our programs coast-to-coast.

The annual Courage Canada National Blind Hockey Tournament is the organization’s marquee
event and primary fundraising opportunity for the year. The goal for the 2014 tournament is to
raise a minimum of $50,000 to support Courage Canada’s Blind Hockey community, as well as our
outstanding children and youth Blind Hockey programs across the country.

Your support helps Courage Canada continue to:

  • Operate the only Blind Hockey tournament on
		the planet.
  • Run learn to skate field trips for hundreds of
		  children and youth across six provinces annually.
  • Provide an annual academic scholarship toward
		post-secondary studies.
  • Found the first ever Blind Hockey summer camp
		  for youth who are blind or partially sighted!

kick-off reception on Friday, March 21. The event will feature executives from Courage Canada’s
major sponsors and partners, as well as Courage Canada’s celebrity supporters including
Olympians and renowned hockey greats from the NHL, and includes the following benefits:

      •      Sponsor representative to be introduced on stage prior to Courage Canada
             speeches during reception.
      •      Sponsor logo featured on signage throughout the reception hall.

New to the 2014 event is the unique opportunity to “Sponsor-a-Team.” Demonstrate your support
to the Courage Canada movement by associating your brand with one of the 4 teams in the
tournament. The players, their families, supporters and fans will instantly see a direct connection to
your support of the tournament; your organization’s name will be mentioned every time the team is
mentioned, and also includes the following benefits:

      •      Opportunity to place signage on bench during team’s games (beside AMI signage).
      •      Company name attached to team verbally and in print.
      •      Opportunity to place 1 promo item in players’ registration packages.
      •      Invitation for up to 4 representatives to VIP Reception on Friday, March 21.

The 2013 Courage Canada National Blind Hockey Tournament secured 40 pieces of coverage
totaling 22,048,423 media impressions. Show your company’s support for Courage Canada by
placing a banner on the glass around the rink ensuring your brand is visible in countless pictures,
news segments, the live stream web broadcast, as well as being front and center to the hundreds
of spectators who will be attending the event! The Banner Sponsor includes the following benefits:

For the first time in 2014, Courage Canada will be providing a live video web stream of all
tournament games for player’s families, friends, and fans back at home. Sponsor the web
broadcast to help us grow the sport of Blind Hockey, and receive your logo on the broadcast
webpage as well as mentions from the announcers during every game.

      •      Logo featured on webpage hosting web broadcast.
      •      Verbal mention from play-by-play announcers each game.
      •      Logo in official tournament program booklet & website.
      •      Receive an autographed thank you card along with charitable tax-receipt for $750.

Competition T-shirt Sponsor: $1,500 – Maximum 1 Available

We’re expecting hundreds of fans and curious onlookers to come watch the games and we need
them to be able to tell who our official tournament volunteers are.  Additionally, all the players,
coaches and fans will be looking for the opportunity to own a shirt commemorating this historic
tournament. The official competition T-shirt Sponsor will receive the following benefits:

      •      Listed on the back of all the T-shirts with your logo and the phrase “T-shirts provided by”.
      •      Logo in official tournament program booklet & website as T-shirt Sponsor.
      •      Receive 5 official souvenir shirts.
      •      Receive an autographed thank you card along with charitable tax-receipt for $750.

Awards Sponsor: $1,500 – Maximum 1 Available

As exceptional as all of Courage Canada’s legally Blind Hockey players are, certain players
separate themselves from the pack and win an award each year. Sponsor the cost of providing
awards to the MVP, most sportsmanlike player, rookie of the year, most improved player and top
goaltender, and you will have your organization’s name prominently featured during our awards
ceremony, in addition to the following benefits:

      •      Invitation for a representative to present one of the awards.
      •      PA mention of “awards brought to you by”.
      •      Logo in official tournament program booklet & website as “Awards Sponsor”.
      •      Receive an autographed thank you card along with charitable tax-receipt for $750.
Be a Fan and “Sponsor-a-Player:” $300 – 60 Spots Available!

Courage Canada Hockey for the Blind is pleased to be able to provide over $300 of sponsorship
per tournament player, including but not limited to accommodation, meals, equipment, and
tournament organizations costs. There is no registration fee for any of the players involved!
Courage Canada is seeking 60 individuals, companies, or groups to take on the “Sponsor-a-Player”
challenge and help us to raise a combined total of $18,000!

If you “Sponsor-a-Player”, you will:

      •      Receive an autographed thank you card with a $300 charitable tax-receipt.
      •      Have your name / organization listed on the “Sponsor-a-Player” list in the official
             tournament program booklet.
      •      Have your name / business on the “Sponsor-a-Player” thank you board at the
             tournament info tent at the venue.
