2020 PTA SPRING CARNIVAL
FRIDAY, APRIL 3rd from 4:30 TO 7:30 PM
Our biggest community event & fundraiser is around the corner…mark your
calendars now! OTE’s Spring Carnival is a long standing tradition that you
won’t want to miss! If this is your first time to experience this fun event, it is
comprised of three different parts:
1. Online Silent Auction 2. Raffle Baskets 3. The Carnival
The Spring Carnival is a fun way to support Old Town Elementary! There will be carnival games, lots of food, a train
ride, cupcake walk, petting zoo, moonwalks, rock climbing wall, photo booth and inflatable games!…these are just a
few of the many fun activities. Old Town PTA relies on the money raised at the Spring Carnival to fund field trips,
educational materials & programs, cultural programs, teacher grants, classroom technology, books for the library,
class reading sets for the literacy library, and much, much more!
Everyone’s help is needed though to continue to make the Spring Carnival a success!...
Here are the ways to help:
• Purchase your tickets to attend the carnival!!
~ Buy early ONLINE and avoid the lines! Tickets are also available on site the day of carnival.
• Prior to the Carnival you can:
~ Participate in the online silent auction
~ Donate to your child’s classroom raffle basket and/or donate items to the online silent auction
~ Become a Business or Family Carnival Sponsor
• Day of the Carnival you can:
~ Donate cupcakes for the Cupcake Walk and/or donate baked goodies for the Bake Sale table
~ Volunteer for a shift to help with a booth/game or food & drinks
Get Ready to Start Bidding!!
Our online silent auction is through Auctions32. We will run the online auction for one full week: March 25th – April
1st, 2020. The winning bidders then can pay and pick up their items during the carnival! You will definitely want to
log on and check out all the great items!...like the always popular and fun Teacher Perks, front Parking Spots &
Birthday Marquee! Also great camps, restaurants, local businesses, etc. When the auction link is ready to go live we
will publish it through e-news, our PTA website and our OTE PTA FB page!

Nuestro mayor evento comunitario y recaudador de fondos está a la vuelta de
la esquina ... marque sus calendarios ahora! ¡El Carnaval de Primavera de
OTE es una larga tradición que no querrá perderse! Si esta es la primera vez
que experiencia este divertido evento, se compone de tres partes diferentes:
1. Subasta silenciosa en línea 2. Canastas de Rifa 3. El Carnaval
¡El Carnaval de Primavera es una manera divertida de apoyar a Old Town Elementary! Habrá juegos de carnaval,
mucha comida, un paseo en tren, caminata de Magdalenas, zoológico pequeno de mascotas, casa de brinco, muro
de escalada, fotomatón y juegos inflables. Estas son solo algunas de las muchas actividades divertidas. El PTA de
Old Town se basa en el dinero recaudado en el Carnaval de Primavera para financiar excursiones, materiales y
programas educativos, programas culturales, becas para maestros, tecnología para las clases, libros para la
biblioteca, juegos de lectura para la biblioteca de alfabetización y mucho, mucho más.
¡Necesitamos la ayuda de todos para que el Carnaval de Primavera sea un éxito!

We need volunteers to help work at the booths at our Spring Carnival! Every year we rely on a community of parents and
student volunteers to make this event possible. Students in middle school and high school can receive community service
hours for volunteering at the carnival. Please note: Some booth/games require adult only volunteers and will be noted.
Please check in at the volunteer desk on/near the blacktop 10 minutes before your volunteer shift begins for your booth
location. Thank you so much for helping to make the Spring Carnival a success and a lot of fun for our kids!
As a thank you, every volunteer that helps with a shift will receive 5 free raffle tickets + 1 food coupon.

Classroom Raffle Basket Donations Requested
The OTE PTA is coordinating a Classroom Basket Raffle at the Spring Carnival to help fund many of the wonderful
projects and activities sponsored by the PTA. All donated items will be put into the themed classroom baskets,
which will be raffled off at the Spring Carnival on Friday, April 3rd.
If you would like to contribute item(s) or money for your class basket, please donate new items related to your
child’s class theme.
Please deliver all items to your child’s classroom no later than Tuesday, March 31st. If you have

Estamos pidiendo donaciones para la rifa de las canastas de la clase. Nuestro PTA de la escuela Old Town está
coordinando una rifa de canastas de la clase para el Carnaval de Primavera para ayudar a financiar muchos de los
maravillosos proyectos y actividades patrocinados por el PTA. Todos los artículos donados serán puestos en las
canastas de la clase, que serán sorteadas en el Carnaval de Primavera el viernes 3 de abril.
Si desea contribuir con artículos o dinero para la canasta de su clase, por favor done artículos que sean nuevos y
relacionados con el tema de la clase de su hijo/a.
Por favor entregue todos los artículos a la maestra/o de su hija/o a más tardar el martes March
