ABOUT OLIVER CARTY
Oliver Carty is one of Ireland’s largest pork and bacon suppliers. We pride ourselves
in offering top quality retailer branded and own branded products in tandem
with Ireland’s largest retailers. Established in the 1950s by the late Oliver Carty, the
company is now owned and managed by Oliver’s son Ted.

Operating from two plants in Athlone with total capacity of 90,000 square feet. Both
of our plants are under the control of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the
Marine, our plant number is IE 784 EC. Our plants are registered with and a member
of the Bord Bia Quality Assurance Scheme and we are a member of Origin Green. We
are accredited to the Global Standard for Food Safety (BRC) and we are a certified
member of the Irish Organic Farmers and Growers Association (IOFGA).

Pork and bacon processing might not seem like the most obvious place to find new
product innovation but it has been central to our success. We have adopted a ‘best in

Our kitchen is headed by our own developmental chef who oversees research
and development, his innovative flair coupled with his
extensive knowledge of the meat industry allows us to
