OUR PROGRESS SO FAR:
                         an update
Six months ago we released our first Sustainability Report,
a declaration of our commitment to our planet, people and
community. But also a record of accountability, so that we continue
to act responsibly and in accordance with one our founding brand
                          values - caring.

Half a year later, I am honoured to announce new milestones in Our

My ultimate goal is for our brand to operate as close to zero
emissions as possible. While we continue to work towards that
target, we have expanded our carbon offsetting initiative to our ETHICAL DIAMONDS

For our planet:
WE ONLY USE 100% RECYCLED
GOLD VERMEIL AND
STERLING SILVER
Recycled silver cuts down CO2 emissions by ⅔ versus
mined silver, yet more than 80% of the world’s silver
supply is still mined. In February 2021, we went one
step further and transitioned to using only recycled
gold in addition to recycled silver in our gold vermeil.

By the end of 2021, more than 1,100,000 kg of CO2
emissions will have been avoided due to our commitment
to using recycled gold vermeil and sterling silver.

Avoid. Reduce. Offset.
 WE’RE NOW COMPLETELY
    CARBON NEUTRAL
Last November, we calculated that our yearly carbon emissions from shipments
to customers equated to driving a car 55 times around the earth. So, we created
a plan to offset all of it, plus all return shipments, by contributing to Clean
Oceans Plastic Bank in combination with a Gold Standard climate protection
                         project supporting wind farms.

This year, we’ve extended our carbon offsetting commitment to include our
corporate and product’s greenhouse gas footprint. We are now entirely carbon
neutral...but that’s not a solution. Our goal is still to avoid and reduce emissions
wherever possible in our processes. As we work towards that goal, we are
offsetting our current emissions by contributing to Gold Standard climate
protection projects that prevent an equivalent amount of CO2 from entering
                                 the air as we emit.

THE NHS
Over the last 12 months, Monica Vinader and our
customers have supported the NHS. In March 2021,
we concluded our NHS Skinny Sapphire initiative that
saw all profits from two new styles donated to NHS
Charities Together. Together, we have raised £31,500.

For our local community hospital nearest to our Norfolk
Head office, Monica with some friends has personally
raised over £100,000. Their Covid Recovery Fund
covered mental health support for the hospital team,
as well as more vital signs monitors. These efforts
are our way to say thank you to the amazing team of
NHS doctors, nurses and front line staff for their work
