A HISTORY OF
STATE PRIDE.
The Queensland Music Awards celebrate and showcase the best of Queensland’s new music. QMusic is
proud to be behind this event which is an important part of Australia’s music landscape and one which has
catapulted local talent to a global audience including Amy Shark, Violent Soho, Ball Park Music and Cub
Sport.

The winner of the 2020 QMA ‘Song of the Year’, The Jungle Giants will have their plaque positioned on the
Valley Walk of Fame and share the same real estate as other homegrown artists including Powderfinger,
Regurgitator, the Go-Betweens, the Bee Gees, The Saints, Savage Garden, Custard, Railroad Gin,
Blowhard, Keith Urban.

The QMAs not only provide a platform for our local artists to be recognised nationally and abroad, but
also our industry leaders, festivals and live music venues.

After the devastating year that was 2020, it is more important than ever to continue to shine light on our
local talent and support the next generation of artists Queensland continue to deliver to the world.
Offering support and encouragement to keep going in this new year ahead is imperative for our industry
to thrive and demonstrate the Queensland spirit to the rest of the nation.

                                                                                                             JC AND IAN HAUG, POWDERFINGER
