    Understanding Construcon
Our History with MSD
ADCO has been delivering successful projects
in partnership with MSD since 1996.

Phase 1: Ballydine, Clonmel, 1996–2000
Our knowledge and experience of MSD and the Ballydine site started
in 1996 when our CEO, Michael Foran, worked directly on the BCEP
expansion project alongside MSD staff including Charlie Carleton, Tom
Leacy, Michael Leonard of Prochem and Ger Bythell of ARUP. ADCO
Contracting also completed a civil work project onsite at MSD Ballydine
for Con Sheehan and Donal Murphy of Jacobs back in 2014.

Phase 2: Swords, Co. Dublin, 2014-2017
Working in partnership with PM Group, ADCO Contracting provided framework
agreement construction and contracting services based out of the Swords facility
in Co. Dublin. The majority of our team have been based out of Swords at one
time or another. Over the years our work has included both external and internal
works. Internal works including cleanroom upgrade with extensive and meticulous
planning, shutdown and upgrade works without minimising production. ADCO
Contracting also completed external works including car parks, drainage works,
maintenance to water mains and the installation of petrol interceptors.

ADCO Contracting | Pharmaceucal Capability Document 17
Decontaminaon Works, 2016 Value: €1m

The MSD Swords plant ceased production of API product in 2016
and the plant needed to be decontaminated and made safe as MSD
intended to sell the site. PM Group appointed ADCO to assist with full
decontamination scope of HVAC system and cleanroom suites. Much
of this work was completed by our teams while wearing versa flow suits
to protect them from risk of exposure to residual API product.

Project: Clean to Shell Project, 2017 Value: €2m

MSD decided to opt out of selling the facility and instead repurpose
and expand it into a new production facility to produce a new
immunotherapy cancer drug Keytruda. ADCO completed the full clean
to shell scope including all asset identification & destruction. ADCO
managed all waste management for this project: removal of over 126k
Tons of demolition and construction waste, 184 Tons of Hazardous
material & achieved rebates on 1,873 Tons of recyclable metals.

Phase 3: Swords, Co. Dublin, 2018–2020 Value: €12m

MSD expands with the development of a multi-billion euro facility at Swords.
In partnership with PM Group & Jacobs Joint Venture, ADCO Contracting
completed the internal finishes scope for the Central Utilities Building, MS&T
Labs & Bulk Drug Substance Building. The project reached over 4,000,000
million man-hours onsite with zero LTIs. This is the largest facility of it’s
constructed in such a short time frame with an exemplary safety record.

To whom it may concern:

I am writing in reference to ADCO Contracting scope of works at the new Merck Biotech, Dublin project.

ADCO were appointed as the CSA contractor responsible for the Internal architectural finishes scope within the
main production facility. I found ADCO to be very professional, organized and efficient in their planning and
execution of their works.

Their approach to procurement of subcontracts was particularly useful and it was clear that they worked diligently
to represent MSD’s best interests when it came time to negotiate and award subcontract.

They have fully embraced our safety and quality initiatives and have delivered their scope to the challenging
schedule the project demanded.

I would have no hesitation in recommending ADCO Contracting for any future works.

Sincerely,

To whom it concerns,

ADCO Contracng & Civil Engineering were appointed as the main contractor for the
Glanbia headquarters fit out on Ring Road, Kilkenny. The Project value was approx. €1M
including mechanical, electrical and data works.

The design was modern and contemporary, high end with aenon to detail especially on
internal finishes. We found ADCO to be an extremely competent contracng firm from
Senior Management down to site based management.

On appointment we were very impressed in the way they set about the task. We found the
entire team very pro-active, they always demonstrated a can do approach. From start to
finish the ADCO project team were in constant consultaon with our design team and as a
result the project was carried out in a smooth, efficient and professional manner.

We were very pleased with the end result and with the performance and professionalism
carried out throughout the program of the project. The appointed team worked with
flexibility and efficiency leading to a compleon within budget.

We would have no hesitaon to highly recommend ADCO to any construcon enty, due to
quality of craftsmanship, aenon to detail, and professional staff and I have already
expressed my desire to have ADCO tender future projects with Glanbia.

Re: MSD Biotech Project

Dear Mairead,

I would just like to thank you and all your ADCO colleagues on the MSD Biotech
Project for the co-operation and assistance you so willingly gave during the
construction of this very important Bio-tech Manufacturing Plant.

We all had to go beyond our norms in terms of performance to deliver what was
required to meet the aggressive safety and schedule challenges this project meted
out but ADCO met those challenges head on and delivered on both fronts.

Personally and professionally I look forward to working with ADCO and your good
self again.
