Take a Proactive Approach For Your Pregnancy An increasing number of mothers-to-be are moving towards more natural birthing processes. Mothers-to-be who are looking for a healthcare practitioner to provide less invasive care before, during, and post pregnancy can consider chiropractic care. Preconception At the preconception stage, chiropractic care can help couples prepare their bodies by ensuring the nerves leading to the reproductive organs are functioning optimally. This has allowed some couples who were not successful in conceiving to be able to conceive when undergoing chiropractic care in our clinics. Pregnancy Regular chiropractic care during pregnancy can assist in the reduction of morning sickness, pain relief for upper back and lower back, and help to align the hips and pelvis for a more optimal birthing position. This can reduce labor time for the mothers-to-be during the actual birth process itself. Our patients experience less pain and shorter labor time with chiropractic care during pregnancy.

With a well-functioning nervous system, pregnant mothers will have shorter
labour time and a more optimal position in the hips and pelvis for delivery,
causing less trauma for mother and child.
Vacuum extraction
Birth trauma may occur even with the most gentle
and non-invasive birth process. More invasive
birthing interventions such as the use of forceps, a
vacuum extraction or even C-section to
deliver the baby can cause problems for
both the mother and baby. Vacuum
extraction and forceps commonly
reach 140-170 lbs of pulling force
during delivery which will lead to birth
trauma such as nerve damage.

Spinal trauma for mother and child can occur
during the birth process. This results in irritation to
the nervous system which can be the cause of
many problems for a newborn. Poor appetite,
breathing difficulty, colic, difficulty nursing or
showing preference for one side from restricted
movement of the head can often be traced
to nervous system dysfunction caused by a
malfunctioning spine.
