Program Calendar!
Our Mission: To serve adults living with serious mental illness by offering a full range of
therapeutic support and rehabilitation services that promote independence, wellness, and a
meaningful life.

Fellowship Place Clubhouse Hours
o Monday 9 AM–8 PM
o Tuesday–Friday 9 AM–5 PM
o Saturday, Sunday & Holidays* 10 AM–1:30 PM
*Holiday hours will occur on: Monday July 5, 2021
Parking
Members and visitors with a valid state issued handicapped permit may park on campus in spaces marked handicapped.
All others must find on street parking. Note: Members and visitors may not park in the Celentano Funeral Home lot
located across the street from the campus. Cars parked illegally at the funeral home will be towed by Celentano’s.
Smoke Free Campus
Fellowship Place is a smoke free campus. Members who smoke are required to smoke off campus, away from
Fellowship Place Property (including residences) and must stay off of neighbors’ property (including driveways, front
lawns and porches).
Healthy Meal Initiative
Fellowship provides our members with free daily meals to promote a healthy, balanced lifestyle and diet. Members can
either sign up in person with staff in the Clubhouse or call to leave a voicemail with their name and meal reservation(s)
on the meal reservation line: (203) 401-3067. Members without a reservation may purchase a meal for $2.00 if food is
available. Member donations are greatly appreciated to help with the cost of the healthy meal initiative.
Meal Serving Times & Reservations
o Monday–Friday
Breakfast is served at 9 AM. No reservation is required for Breakfast.
Lunch is served at 12 PM. Sign-up for Lunch is required by 10 AM daily.
Dinner is served on Mondays at 5 PM and Tuesday through Friday at 4 PM. Sign-up is required by 12 PM daily.
o Saturday, Sunday & Holidays
Lunch is served at 11:30 AM. No reservations are needed for weekends and holidays*.
* Holiday hours will occur on: Monday July 5, 2021
Welcome Desk
The Welcome Desk at Elm St. Reception is the first stop when entering Fellowship to sign in and obtain helpful
information, such as the Member Handbook, weekly menu, meal reservation information cards, this program calendar,
Art Studio schedule, and the Beacon, our quarterly literary newsletter. Remember to check out the white board located
in the clubhouse for a list of the day’s activities!

To check for any time changes due to snow storms and inclement weather, please call Fellowship Place’s main number

Risk of Injury Disclaimer
With any physical activity there is a risk of injury. Participants in physical activities offered by Fellowship Place freely and
knowingly accept and assume the risk of injury and must agree to release and hold harmless Fellowship Place, its
employees, and contractors in the event of any injury suffered while participating in such activities. If you plan on
participating in activities that require physical activity, you will be required to sign a disclaimer form. Failure to sign off
on the form will result in non-participation of physical activities.
Mask Requirement (NEW)
Fellowship Place is continuing to require that masks are worn at all times when on our campus. Please ensure that your
mask is being worn properly by covering both your nose and mouth. This requirement is subject to change.
Upcoming Events
Campus Community Meeting
4th Tuesday of the month @ 11 AM in the Clubhouse August 24th
Join all programs on the Fellowship Place Campus for Campus Community Meeting. The agenda will include
announcements impacting the whole campus, program presentations of interest to all clients, and a monthly spotlight
on a client or clients who have achieved significant milestones.
Day Dances
Select Fridays @1 PM in the Clubhouse July 30th & August 27th
Come to Fellowship Place for a day dance with Clubhouse Staff and fellow members! Snacks will also be provided! If you
have a special song you would like to hear, see your advisor!
Movie in the Clubhouse
Select Fridays @2-4 PM in the Clubhouse July 23rd & August 20th
Relax and watch a movie with your friends at Fellowship Place while enjoying some coffee and snack! Fellowship Place
has a great movie selection, but if you have a DVD that you would like to share or a movie suggestion, please let your
Recovery Advisor know!
Camp CONNRI Day Retreat
Tuesday, July 27th from 9AM-6PM
Fellowship Place will be attending Camp CONNRI for a day retreat at the beautiful camp location in Ashford Ct! The agency
will be bringing 20 members to camp this year and are offering the trip to members who could not attend in 2020 due to
the COVID 19 pandemic. You will have to be fully vaccinated and be able to show proof of vaccination in order to attend!

Spelling Bee
Wednesday, July 21st @ 2pm in the Clubhouse
Join Joyce in the clubhouse for the first ever Spelling Bee at Fellowship Place. The spelling bee is a competition in which
members are asked to spell a broad selection of words, usually with a varying degree of difficulty. To compete, members
must memorize the spellings of words as written in dictionaries, and say the spelling verbally. Everyone who participates
in the competition will get a prize! For more information, please see your Recovery Advisor!

Last Friday of the month @ 10 AM in the Clubhouse July 30 & August 27
This new and improved meeting is now in addition to the Campus Community Meeting specifically Social Rehab
members. In this meeting, we will discuss upcoming events, issues and ideas!
Narcan Information and Training Session
Friday July 30th @ 10 AM during Social Rehab Meeting
Join Members and Staff for a presentation from the New Haven Health Department to discuss the importance of the
lifesaving medication Narcan which is used to rapidly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Become a trained
individual on how to properly administer the medication.
Consumer Council
3rd Monday of every month from 3:30–4:30 PM in Hald 1 July 19 & August 16
Join Executive Director Mary Guerrera for an open conversation about how to improve services and member
participation at Fellowship.
Grief Group (NEW GROUP)
Mondays @ 10:30am in Hald 1
Join Will in a group to process and discuss personal experiences with grief and all that comes with it. It can be complicated
when people experience loss. Grief can be experienced in response to many things including the death of family or friends,
a change in employment, loss of health, moving, disappointing outcomes, or the ending of a relationship. The group will
be a safe environment where members can support each other, share experiences and learn skills to get through difficult
times.
Pet Therapy (NEW GROUP)
Tuesdays @ 9:45am in the Clubhouse
Missy, a therapy dog, will be joining us at Fellowship Place each Tuesday at 9:45am. Please come to the clubhouse to say
hello to her, pet her, give her treats, or just watch her from a far. Missy is known to put a smile on people’s faces!
Coffee and Conversation with Hezekiah (RETURNING GROUP)
Monday and Wednesday from 9-9:45am in the Clubhouse
Join Hezekiah for Breakfast, Coffee and great conversation about topics that are happening in the world around us!
Hezekiah is a volunteer with plenty of lived experience with a lot of advice and thoughts to share.
Art Show
Select Fridays @ 1PM in the Clubhouse July 23rd
Join the members of Artship for an opening reception at 1pm in the clubhouse. Art will be displayed for the month, so
come and enjoy! Refreshments will be provided at opening!
Craft Fair
Friday August 27th @1- 3pm in the Art Studio
The Clubhouse is hosting a craft fair with all items created by members of the Social Rehab Program! All crafts are
between $1.00 and $5.00. Save up some extra cash for the month of August so that you are able to pay for items that
you want to purchase at the craft fair! If you would like to sell something at the craft fair, please speak with Joyce in the
Art Studio!
Tai-Chi Learning Session
Tuesday July 20th @ 10:30 AM in the Clubhouse
Join Shirley from Aiping Tai-Chi Center for a learning session during the day! Monday evening Tai-Chi has proven to be an
effective method to keep our bodies and minds healthy and calm so we increased the frequency and added this wonderful

pg. 4 Fellowship Place Program Calendar July & August 2021Preparing for Work Working in the Community Group Day/Time: Fridays at 11:00-12:00 Location: McDowell Register in advance with Employment Specialist Julia Pardi Join Employment Specialist Julia Pardi for a group that will help you prepare for employment. This is a semi- structured skill building group in which you will learn the tools necessary for successful employment in the community. Topics include, communication skills, professionalism, goal-setting, stress management and more. Try one or do all of the groups. 7/9: Social and Communication Skills 7/16: Professionalism 7/23: Goal Setting 7/30: Organizational Skills for the Job Search 8/6: Application Process 8/13: Interview Skills 8/20: Self Advocacy and Disability Disclosure 8/27: Anxiety and Stress Management Career Development Assistance Day/Time: Wednesdays from 10:30 – 12:00 Location: Computer Learning Center Register in advance with Employment Specialist Haneen Alani Employment Specialist Haneen Alani is available to help you write your resume or a cover letter, assist with job applications, help with pre-employment assessments, and provide other technical help such as exporting and uploading documents that are part of the application process. Improve Your Education or Learn New Skills Study Hall Day/Time: Tuesdays 2:00-3:00 and Thursdays 11:00-12:00 Locations: Computer Learning Center Register in advance with Employment Specialist Dominique Kunz Study Hall is available to you to study for college level course work or the GED. Or perhaps you would like to learn something new? How about upgrading your computer skills or improving your math or English skills? This is time to further your education with the help of career staff and online tools. Volunteer in the Community Give back to the Community and improve your Resume. See Peer Specialist Judy Trussell for information about volunteering in the community or to join the following volunteer groups: Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen Wednesday 1:45-3:15 PM Meet in the Clubhouse. Transportation provided You will be assembling/packing dinner to make take home meals for patrons of the Soup Kitchen. Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter Volunteer Group

Help feed, clean cages, and play with shelter cats at the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter. Transportation is provided.
