Purpose • Remind officers how Promotion Eligibility can be determined • Review important updates and notable changes regarding promotion documents and process for PY22 • Provide a high level overview of a few key HSPAC Career Progression, Promotion and Guidance (CP2G) Documents • Conduct an in-depth review of the new universal CV Format Instructions and crosswalk with standardized Benchmarks #WeAreCorpsStrong Health Services Professional Advisory Committee
PY22 Important Updates • 2022 Promotion Benchmarks for All Categories were released. The HS Category no longer has its own Benchmarks. • A Standardized Promotion CV Format was released for All Categories as optional. But please note: • For HS Category PY22: • Standardized Promotion CV Format and the Continuing Education Summary Sheet are required. • The CV Cover Page is NOT required. • Officer Promotion Package Verification System (OPPVS) was released on September 1 for PY2022. OPPVS will only be available for officers with promotion eligibility in PY22. #WeAreCorpsStrong Health Services Professional Advisory Committee
PY22 CV Notable Changes • The CV format is organized by benchmark precepts. The CV Format Instructions outline required formatting and order of sections. Follow these instructions! • Continuing Education (CE) training completed is no longer included as a table within the CV. A separate CE Summary Sheet is now required. However, the CV includes a table to capture any CE training that you Planned, Developed or Led. • Impact of documented work & accomplishments must be emphasized throughout the various CV sections. #WeAreCorpsStrong Health Services Professional Advisory Committee

Precept 3: Career Progression & Potential Benchmark Factor CV Component Notes Mission Priority Mission Priority factor is new. Throughout an officer’s career, assignments should meet one or more of the Mission Priority (MP) buckets, Billet Level *if possible USPHS Career Regarding Mobility: A geographic move is Progression defined as a change of billet with a change of Assignments Overview city or agency. A programmatic move is defined as a change of billet within the same agency. Documentation of either form of Mobility mobility must be via personnel orders and/or the PIR. Updated HSPAC Resources Coming • An HSPAC Specific Promotion CV Example has been developed based on the new Standardized Promotion CV Format. • The HSPAC CV Example, PY 22 ROS/OS Guidance, and PY 22 Promotion Benchmarks Summary of Changes will be distributed via the HS Category listserv following today’s All Hands. • The full CP2G Toolkit (to include these documents) will be updated on the CP2G Website by early October and released over the HS Category listserv. #WeAreCorpsStrong Health Services Professional Advisory Committee
