Welcome to the 7 day Into Your Heart - Bali holiday retreat. Included in this information pack is your
registration form.
!
The retreat will be held at the beautiful Pondok Shanti Agung retreat centre on Bali’s east coast,
situated 20 meters from the unique black sand beach of Jasri. Join us for 7 wonderful days
where you will be supported to dive deeply into yourself & explore the deeper aspects behind
the music of Sacred Earth. Experience daily yoga, blissful mantra singing, meditation, delicious
Balinese food (vegetarian fare plus fresh local fish available everyday), laughter, massage &
plenty of free time to explore this beautiful region, visit the local chocolate & coconut soap
factories, surf the local point break or slow down and take a siesta under a coconut tree; a truly
divine experience. Price includes all programmed activities, accommodation, three delicious
Balinese meals a day & a rejuvenating Balinese massage. !
You will be held throughout the 7 days with honour, respect, clear directions & guidance. This retreat is for
you and about you. A time to simply be with your divine self, immersed in the glorious natural beauty of
Bali. Take time to slow down, set intentions, write in your journal, enjoy luscious healthy Balinese food
and activate your life force daily through the practices of yoga, meditation, mantra singing, Balinese

Pantai Jasri, 2 hrs north of Denpasar on Bali’s east coast.
Cost:
$1,350 per person (early bird $1250) - includes all programmed activities, accommodation twin
share (2 single beds) or double room (1 big bed - 2 persons) or $1,650 (early bird $1550) for
single occupancy, a Balinese massage & 3 delicious Balinese vegetarian (plus fresh local fish)
meals a day.
The price also includes accommodation & dinner for the evening of the 28th June. We ask you
to arrive on the 28th June so you can settle in and orientate yourself and we all have an
opportunity to connect before the program begins the following day. Breakfast will be your
responsibility for the first day of the retreat as the program will start at 10am on the 29th June.
Places are limited for this retreat so book early.Accommodation Accommodation for this retreat is spread amongst three different accommodation places and is a mix of twin share, triple share, double & single occupancy rooms. If you would like to share a room with your partner or friend please advise us on your registration form. Also if you are traveling with a group of friends please advise so we can accommodate you all together. Starting & finishing times: We ask you to arrive at the retreat centre on the 28th June so you have time to settle into your room, become accustomed to your surroundings and share dinner together the night before the retreat. The program will start the following day the 29th June at 10am at Shanti Agung retreat centre.Official program will end Sunday 5th July at 12.30pm followed by a delicious lunch together. You are welcome to stay the night of the 5th July, there is an additional cost of $50, please indicate on your registration form if this is required.! FAQs – Bali Retreats 1. Is the program suitable for people who have not had any experience in yoga, meditation or mantra singing ? Our program is designed to suit everyone. You need no experience in any of these practices to be able to participate in all of the daily activities. ! 2. Where is the centre? Shanti Agung is located approximately 2 hrs drive from Denpasar airport located at Pantai Jasri, a small fishing village on Bali’s East Coast. Local attractions include a very nice right hand point surf break, the chocolate & coconut soap factories, Mt Agung, local water hole, secluded white sand beach (great snorkelling), local traditional craft village & all the attractions of a simple rural fishing village.. the contact no. is +62 813 385 55833..Komang Arni ! 3. Where will I stay? The rooms and bungalows are a mixture of Balinese, modern & french inspired architecture (www.aashayajasri.com & www.villamatanai.com). Accommodation for this retreat is spread amongst three different accommodation places and is a mix of twin & triple share, double & single occupancy rooms. If you would like to share a room with your partner or friend please advise us on your registration form. Also if you are traveling with a group of friends please advise so we can accommodate you all together. The retreat centre is located 10 minutes walk along the beach and through rice paddies each morning. All meals are eaten together at Shanti Agung Retreat Centre. 4. What will I eat?! You will be provided with 3 Balinese meals a day prepared with wonderful Balinese spices, tempeh, local fruits and vegetables prepared by our hosts the Mr & Mrs Komang and their team. Your digestive system will love you for it!! The Komangs are simply the best cooks. Whilst meals are mostly vegetarian, fish will be available for those who eat fish as there is such an abundant supply of fresh fish coming straight from the sea. You may want to bring snacks with you such as organic nuts or super foods. All water is supplied at the centre and at the accommodation centres. ! 5. Are there other costs? You will need $25 US to pay for arrival tax when you enter Bali you will need 200,000 Rupiah ($20AUD) for your departure tax on your way home. You will need money for any gifts or personal items you wish to purchase. If you wish to stay on in Bali after the retreat this will of course be at your own expense and highly recommended as the island has so much to offer. A few days in Ubud or Amed either side of the retreat would be wonderful. If you wish to stay at the centre’s accommodation on the 5th July, the night the retreat finishes, please indicate on your registration form, there is an additional charge of $50. ! 6. How do I get to the retreat centre from the airport? If you email us your flight details including flight number, arrival time and date we can organize one of our drivers to collect you from the airport and bring you straight to your accommodation in Jasri. The cost for a transfer is 450,000Rp (approx $45 AUD), this can be shared with whoever you travel with, up to 4 people per car and money is paid directly to the driver….. continued…….next page…..
If you arrive late at night before the 28th June we suggest staying at a hotel in Seminyak for the night and we can organise our driver to collect you from you accommodation the following morning. We recommend Sarinande Beach Inn located in Seminyak it is only $65 twin share a night including breakfast. It is quiet, clean and the staff are lovely. This is where we stay whenever we arrive in Bali. It is best to email them directly to book in. Sarinande Beach Inn - sarinandebeachinn@gmail.com Let them know you are a friend of Mrs Prem & Mr Jethro. Let them know your flight arrival time and request them to pick you up from the airport ($15 AUD). They will be waiting out the front with a sign with your name on it (or one that says Mrs Prem..look out for that, they may mean you, it has happened before).Taxi’s (bemo) are also available at all centres and Denpasar airport, you will need to barter for your fare but the travel to Pantai Jasri should cost you about 450,00 Rp or $45 AUD (can be shared between friends). Simply ask for Pantai Jasri, about 20 min past Candi Dasa. Denpasar International Airport Bali is located just 10 minutes by taxi directly south of Kuta. ! 7. Do I need to bring anything specific? A yoga mat (not essential if you do not own one as there are some at the centre), a head torch, a journal, your own water bottle (to reduce plastic waste which is a huge problem in Bali), surf board (if you plan to surf that is), a towel, bathers, a good book to read, a warm shawl (beds are only covered with very light covers so you may need an extra blanket, shawl or something of that nature if you are prone to feeling the cold …even on a tropical island. We strongly suggest you bring a bottle of Nux Vomica Homeopathic remedy (can stop Bali belly from developing), Mozzie spray or lotion, Dengue fever is becoming more common in Bali so best to wear mozzie spray. Shoes for walking that you don’t mind getting wet, crocs or thongs work well, comfortable foot wear that is easy to take on and off. Laces will drive you nuts as you are required to take off your shoes often in Bali. Anything else you feel you will need to make your stay comfortable. ! 8.When do I pay my deposit? A deposit of $350 AUD is required to secure your space (places are limited so book early). Direct internet deposit, cheque or money order are the payment options for the deposit and balance of payment. Full payment must be received no later than May 18th 2015. If you pay the balance of the retreat in full before Feb 28th 2015 you will receive a $100 discount. Your deposit is non refundable after the 18th May 2015. ! 10. Do I need any medications?? We need to be mindful that we are in a third world country and while the prevalence of Bali Belly has reduced over the years we still need to watch the water that we drink and where we eat. Nux Vomica homeopathic works incredibly well for Bali Belly. we strongly suggest that you bring this remedy with you as well as some mineral salts restore powder incase you need to replenish your fluid stores. You can also drink the occasional red cordial or coke while in Bali (I would not normally advise these drinks but they work a treat for Bali Belly). It is advised to bring with you a digestive probiotic and to start taking it before you leave Australia. Bring Vit C powder as an immune booster as well as any regular supplements that you take. Simple measures regarding water and hygiene are advised such as using bottled water to brush your teeth and rinse your tooth brush. All meals provided on the Retreat meet western standards and are cooked and cleaned with bottled or filtered water 11. Communicating with us in Bali! We will have a mobile phone number in Bali and will email it to you after the 25th June 2015. ! We will be available on that number from June 25th - July 22nd, 2015.! Phone number for Shanti Agung Yoga Temple - +62 (0) 81 338 555 833 ! 12. Access to cash? You may want to order some Indonesian Rupiah from your local bank to take with you. Travelers cheques are always an option although your exchange rate is always less when you change them into cash. You can access cash via hundreds of ATM’s however quite low withdrawal limits apply which vary by machine. Normally the limits is US$100 per transaction and a fee applies for each withdrawal. If you prefer, you can walk into a Bank branch and exchange cash. You may want to get cash out before you journey up to Pantai Jasri. You can change money at the Denpasar airport although you won’t get the best rate so we advise you to only change what you immediately need. You can change money in the town of Candi Dasa 20 minutes drive south from your accommodation. Money can also be easily accessed via the many money changers in retail strips.These money changers offer competitive exchange rates, however ALWAYS ask how much Rupiah you will get for $x and then count carefully. Some money changers are very quick and embellish their margins by slight of hand techniques.
13. Passport, Visas, Arrival & Departure Tax!
!
To enter Bali your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from your date of arrival.
Travellers holding passports from some countries (including Australia and New Zealand) may be
granted a seven day visa on arrival for a fee of USD$10 or a 30 day visa on arrival for a fee of USD$25.
Payment must be made in USD on arrival. Both visas are non-extendable and non-transferable. The
period of stay for visas is calculated from the day of arrival. For example, if a tourist with a seven day
visa arrived on a Sunday, they must depart Indonesia the following Saturday. If the tourist departed on
the following Sunday, they would be considered to have overstayed their visa. This principle also applies
to 30 day visas. Fines are imposed for each additional day in Indonesia. On leaving, travellers will need
to pay a Departure Tax. Currently the tax is Rupiah 200,000. Please note that variations can occur with
little or no notice.
4. Bali Fast Track !
You may want to take advantage of the services offered by bali-fast-track.com
We use this service when we travel to Bali and it creates a smooth and easeful flow for only $20 US. It
is definitely worth every cent. You need to book prior to departure and need to have this money on you
as you arrive in Bali.
Bali Fast Track service will eliminate you having to queue up for your VOA (Visa on Arrival) and
immigration clearance. After greeting you off the airplane you are provided with a fast track route
through Immigration, personal assistance visa-on-arrival, customs, Immigration clearance without
queues in a smooth handover to your driver, or help to book a airport car or transfer to your
accommodation in Bali. Don’t panic when the person assisting you takes off with your passport, they will
come back. Fast track means you do not have to stand in the normal immigration line, and you will be
escorted quickly and easily through the immigration process.

15. Cancellation Policy!
Cancellation of your retreat booking before May 18th 2015 will incur a $50 cancellation fee and
whatever else you have paid will be returned to your nominated bank account. Cancellations after May
18th 2015 will mean that you lose your deposit of $350 as all food and accommodation costs will have
already been paid.
Extra Activities!
As this is a holiday retreat your afternoons are your own to relax, explore, rest, read, what ever you feel.!
Cooking Class!
Isabelle, a lovely French woman and her husband Komang, a local Indonesian man; the owners &
creators of Rumah Kelapa have put together a very special class that is on offer during our retreat.
Traditional Balinese Megibung cooking class. During this class you will learn how to prepare a
traditional ceremonial feast from East Bali, the "Megibung". Not only will you partake in this special
cooking class but will also learn how to prepare and make the daily ceremonial offerings and partake in
the afternoon prayers practiced throughout Bali every day. You will have an opportunity to learn about
Balinese ceremony, culture and prayer. All of this will conclude with the scrumptious "Megibung" feast
that you have prepared during your class. This class is only 400,000Rp (approx $40 AUD). !
