TOPPERS ARTICULATE
I am delighted to share that I have secured 98.6% in my class XII board
exams – PCM with Economics and Painting. There is no shortcut to
studying and preparing for exams. A student has to remain consistent with
their studies. I, personally, could achieve consistency through scheduling
my work. I would list out the chapters and topics I had to cover till the end of
the week. On days I felt more productive, I would finish many topics at
once. I focused more on completing the topics thoroughly, rather than
calculating the number of hours I had spent studying. I gave my complete
attention to the regular chapter-wise tests. This trick lessened my workload
TANYA GUPTA (98.6 %)during final preparation. One month prior to the board exams, I completed
Class XII (Science) the whole syllabus from NCERT and started solving previous years’
question papers. Moreover, I tried to write my answers as neatly as possible
during board exams. I understand the pressure a student feels in the last
year of their school life. I hope my methods of studying prove useful. At the
end of the day, a student’s satisfaction with their hard work remains the
most critical. I would like to thank all my teachers, family and friends for
their support.
As a kid, I always used to gaze at the board in our school that displays the
names of school toppers and used to wonder what made them different
from others. And as I grew, I discovered that, to achieve your dreams, one
thing you need to make sure is believing in yourself. Unlike others, I never
took XII class as a challenge. For me it was just another journey that I had to
complete. And that's what made this year, this journey so beautiful. I
would like to thank my parents, my teachers, class mates and everyone
else who had faith in me and made this journey so special for me. This
understanding helped me a lot while preparing and strategizing for BOARD
SHAILKA BHATNAGAR exams. Furthermore, I am an ardent supporter of the saying, "practice
makes a man perfect". One can simply not achieve their goals through
(97.4 %)
short-cuts. I believe that we're all sailors battling against the lost and dark
Class XII (Commerce) sea waiting for a lighthouse to appear out of nowhere. But little do we
know that for a lighthouse to appear, we need to stay determined and
follow the right directions.KHUSHI KATARIA (97 %)
Class XII (Humanities)
School is an integral part of everyone's life. It teaches us the wrong and the right. I became the
class topper in Humanities stream of class XII by scoring 96%. As we all think that class XII is the
important class and is supposed to be the hardest too, but in my opinion when you have
teachers that are always there to support you and help you, things get very easy. Your class XII
result does not depend only on what you've learnt in your higher classes, the process of
achieving something great always starts from the ground level. In my case I would give the
credit of my achievements to all my teachers from junior and primary classes also. They are the
ones who teach you how to write, read and speak which forms the basis of your learning. From
the very beginning, I was very determined in my thoughts that I had to score good marks. There
were many instances where people told me that it's quite impossible for me to top the class
because I was more active in co-curricular activities. But I never let that opinion make me feel
demotivated, instead I took it up as a challenge. I wanted everyone to know that you can do
both the things simultaneously. You can be good at academics and still achieve so much in co-
curriculars.
According to me, God has made everyone unique and it's not necessary that all of us have to be
good at the same thing. Just like everyone is different, their interests, hobbies and capabilities
differ. Everyone may not be good at studies, so what matters is that you are determined
towards your aim and your aim will tell you what to do and what not. It will guide you to the
right part and you just have to follow your dreams.
Thank you.I would give all the credit of my success to my parents and my teachers.
I got a right balance at school and home. I was never pressurized to
study all the time before my board exams and I myself also don't
believe in falling in the trap of studying 12 hours a day which does
nothing but to stress the child.
It's important to plan your study and divide the syllabus chapter and
topic wise and devote time accordingly with short breaks after regular
intervals. I focused on NCERT books, made notes during classes and
completed all the assignments given to me by school.
Apart from studies, I used to play basketball that helped me to de-
NAMAN GOEL stress my mind. I am grateful to my parents for providing the much
needed emotional support and my teachers for extending a helping
(98 %) hand in academics.
CLASS X
First of all, I would like to thank God, for always being there with me at
every step of my life. Then I would like to thank all who inspired me
throughout this journey, my parents, my teachers, and of course my
friends. I don't think I could make it to the top without them. Let me
start by saying that the key mantra for success is keeping it
spontaneous and turning it gradually. The reason I am saying this is not
because it worked for me but because it is a fact. Believe me, you
would not have the last-minute panic if you are prepared well in
advance.
I would like to tell all the class X aspirants to set their goals from the
beginning, learn to manage their time and try to be consistent in
performance by working hard from the very first day and without
taking mid-terms and pre-boards lightly. Give your full concentration
RHYTHM GARG in class, trust me that will serve half the purpose. Make good notes so
that you can revise them especially when the exams are drawing near.
(98 %)
CLASS X Make a revision strategy (utmost important). Stay motivated! Last but
not the least, remember, you are studying in the best school of
Gurgaon, with the best mentors so success will definitely come to your
feet.CBSE Board Result 2019-2020

COUNSELLING SESSIONS
The recurring virtual classes, assignments, projects all take a toll both
on the learner and the mentor thereby increasing the stress levels in
both. learners specially have to remain contented by learning artistic
skills and sports online instead of enjoying the lush green school ground
where they were able to run around freely. To help students dealing with
all these issues, counselling sessions were organized for VI to VIII to
make them stay focused and disciplinedCOMMON ERRORS IN MATHEMATICS
The workshop was conducted by the Mathematics
teachers in their respective periods. The session
began with an activity on mentimeter.com where
students with the help of a word cloud were shown
the areas where they usually commit mistakes.
Few examples were shown to students with faulty
approach and they were asked about the mistakes
in the given question and the correct approach.
Brain teasers and quizzes were conducted in the
session to make it interesting and engaging. It was
a very fruitful and interactive session where
participants were keen to note down their learning
and
implement them to correct their mistakes in future.
Mistakes + Correction = Learning
COMMON ERRORS IN ENGLISH
Writing and speaking in English as a
non–native speaker has its own set of
problems. Grammatical errors come in many
forms and can easily confuse, misinterpret or
obscure the meaning. A workshop on 'Common
Errors in English' was organized for classes VI
to VIII during the third week of July. The
common errors in English were taken in the
form of a PPT. Some common errors like
prepositions, subject–verb agreement, tenses,
punctuation, spelling and other parts of speech
were explained with illustrations. The session
was interesting and fruitful. The students were
able to recognize the areas where they
frequently make mistakes and learnt to correct
themselves for future reference.FRIENDS: REAL VS VIRTUAL
To tickle the creative, debating and
communication skills of students, a webinar was
organized on 28 July 2020 for the students of
Class VII. The topic was Virtual Friends Vs Real
Friends. The students were selected via the
elimination round which began on July 8. The
topic and instructions were disseminated to
students on 1st and 4th July during the Class
Teachers' period.
INTERNATIONAL JUSTICE DAY
The teachers of Classes VI to VIII took quite an important session on the
International Justice Day on 17th July 2020 with a purpose to enlighten
students about the importance of Justice and how various nations, time to time,
under the United Nations seek help from the International Court of Justice
(ICJ). The teachers prepared PPT for the same and showcased them in their
classes. It helped students to learn about the location and the names of the
President and the panel members of ICJ. The teachers also informed students
about the important cases that are being taken up by India at the International
Court to seek justice e.g. The Jadhav Case of India Vs Pakistan. The students
comprehended the purpose of celebrating the Day. Also, they were able to
know the duties executed by ICJ at the world forum. The session made
students realize the importance and mechanism of seeking justice at the world
level. Every year, people around the world use this day to host events to
promote International Criminal Justice and to support the International Court.INTER – SCHOOL SCIENCE COMPETITION Continuing with the trend of conducting different competitions to showcase the enlivened fanciful talent and creativity of the students, Salwan Public School, Gurugram hosted the Inter-School Science Competition “Mind Sparks” on July 18, 2020 with great exuberance and enthusiasm. The students of several schools from Gurugram participated in the competition. The competition was divided into three categories with students participating from Classes VI, VII and VIII. It was a day where we saw creativity gushing out in every piece of activity. It was indeed wonderful opportunity for students to think out of the box and to interact and compete with other students.
MY GREEN PLATTER
To reinforce the importance of fruits/ green
vegetables specially for children, an English
Speaking activity was planned for the little ones.
The children were asked to present a 'Pre-
prepared green platter' along with 'Table layout.'
In the presentation, the children were asked to
speak about the 'ingredients' used and how they
have prepared it. The children presented their
platter so beautifully and confidently. A few of
them were also dressed up in green attire
d i s p l ay i n g f u l l e nt h u s i a s m . A f te r t h e
presentation, they were asked to taste their
platter and encouraged to prepare such kind of
platter on regular basis. In the end, the educators
sincerely appreciated the hard work and
dedication of children and their parents for the
activity.
SAVE THE TIGER
To introduce children to nature in a gentle, reassuring and encouraging manner,
an activity “Save The Tiger” was planned for them. Children were asked either to
prepare a poster with slogan or self-composed lines or poems with illustrations.
It was an interesting and exciting activity for children as they got an opportunity
to showcase their sensitivity and creativity in the form of poem or poster.VIRTUAL TRIP TO SCHOOL
School is a place where a child learns so many
things at one place. During this pandemic,
educators felt that children are missing their
school the most. They love to be in the school, to
be with their friends, sharing things with each
other etc. So, educators decided to plan a virtual
trip to school as an introductory activity of the
Chapter – My School. They captured each and
every corner of the school and converted that into
a beautiful video. Children really loved that virtual
trip to school and gripped in nostalgia, a few of
them got emotional after watching it. It was really
a nice surprise for them.
ORIGAMI ACTIVITY
The online session was conducted to make students aware about the basic
needs of humans. It began with the brainstorming by students on the basic
needs of life .Educators asked a few questions on the topic 'Shelter' followed by
an Origami Activity. They truly enjoyed the activity of “house making with an
Origami”.NEW INITIATIVES
GOOGLE CLASSROOM
Classrooms were created for each subject and
the codes were shared with the parents.
Students submitted their holiday homework first
and now they are uploading home assignments
weekly. Teachers are supposed to do corrections
and return the same.
SPINNER WHEEL ON FLIPPITY
Educators created a wheel of students' names to
give equal chance of participation to each student.
Every child has an equal chance of being picked up
each time when an educator spins the wheel. This
was being used to create an excitement in the class
and it helped the educators to choose students
randomly.
SNOWMAN GAME
This game was introduced to enhance vocabulary and
work on the spellings of difficult words. The educator
helped the learners to play the game of recognizing
words and their spellings. The learners started by
guessing the words on the basis of hints given by the
educators.QUIZZIZ
Quizziz is an online assessment tool that allows
teachers to create and use quizzes in the
classroom. After providing students with a
unique access code, a quiz can be used as a
homework with a specific deadline. Teachers use
quiz as an assessment tool in the classroom and
also as a home assignment. Educators used it for
revisions also. Parents really appreciated it and
asked for more such practice as children are able
to grasp the concepts rapidly through quizzes.
GREAT INVENTIONS
We all are aware that necessity is the mother of invention. Necessity when
blends with ideas, imagination, creativity, motivation, hard work and will power
leads to great inventions. To open the gates of knowledge and to turn on the
explore mode, an interesting activity was planned for the little ones. The whole
class was divided into two groups on the basis of the assigned topics- Old
Inventions and New Inventions. They were asked to select and make
presentation on any one of the given topics using a self-made small model.
Children came up with such an amazing work and presented it so nicely.
Brimming with confidence, they shared new and interesting information with
each other. Through such activities, children not only learn a lot of new things
from each other but it also helps them to build a strong bond as wellEXUBERANT EXPRESSIONS
THORNS
A rose defines beauty She knew the thorns will overcome
A rose defines grace All it's beauty and the pleasent
Stunned by perfection smell
She stands there in haze
But thorns were worth bleeding for
She thinks she'll pick that rose As they didn't leave, when the
Over that diamond ring petals fell.
Fragrance of that beauty
Makes her heart sing But she replaced all the flowers
With the empty, paper ones
"I'll keep it forever" As the fake ones will stay
Those are her beautiful lies Everyday when the sun comes
She feeds her false truths
She knows she's hypnotized In this world of make believe
People have chosen fake
It sits still inside the vase Maybe just to numb tha pain
Air getting heavier with days That keeps them wide awake
For perfection to freez right there
That's what her choking heart Letting go is hard
prays But holding on is harder
There's no salt in her tears
She throws the dead rose Or maybe it's just water
With empty promises and regret
And buries the ashes of perfection With beauty getting old
Cause beauty, is not perfect. And silvers getting grey
Maybe she just wanted to know
How things look when they stay..
