Editorial
                          New Session….New Opportunities

To begin something new has always been amazing and we, as educators, are
committed to try and do something different all the time . The new virtual academic
session 2021-22 of Salwan Public School, Gurugram opened on April 1,2021 to ensure
that the learning process goes uninterrupteddespite the ugly shadow of the coronavirus
disease.

By dint of Zoom platform, the teachers gave it their all throughinteresting videos, PPTs
and a variety of presentations to make every single concept amply clear to their
students. The April month witnessed a flurry of activities with different celebrations
added a zing to the month. The following platforms really proved handy in promoting a
seamless learning experience.

Ÿ Kaizala Groups- A simple messaging platform i.e. Kaizala group was updated for all
the classes for better communication between teachers and parents. All important
information was shared with the parents through this platform.

Ÿ Google Classroom- Google classrooms were employed for all subjects (curricular
and co-curricular) to ensure that the assigned tasks must be submitted on time.
Teachers always helped and guided the parents who faced difficulty in joining or
  submitting the work.

Ÿ Virtual Time-Table- Teachers chalk out avirtual time table where comprehensive
information is shared with parents vis-à-vis timings, meeting IDs and passcodes for
the smooth execution of classes. It's weekly prepared and shared well in advance
  with the parents.

Happy Learning!

WORLD BOOK DAY
“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible
and wisest of counsellors, and the most patient of teachers.” - Charles W. Eliot

Books are a uniquely portable magic. They have the ability to entertain us and allow us to
travel to different places through our imaginary senses. To bring students close to the
books' magic once again, they were apprised of the importance of World Book Day
celebrated on April 23, 2021. To inculcatelove for reading amongst students, they were
given a story to read and suggest an alternative title, draw/sketch their favourite
character in the story and create a bookmark. This activity helped them to recognise their
creativity and consider themselves as young authors in the making. The students
thoroughly enjoyed the activity and could relate as to how exciting and pleasurable the
journey of reading a book can be!

NO PARK, NO PLAY
No park, no play

Hey Corona, go away

You are smaller than a cell

Making everyone's life hell

Are you ever gonna go away?

We always used to be with friends EARTH IS A TREASURE
Now everyone has to stay away Here we see, there we see.

We miss our school, our lovely teachers What do you see?

Where we used to study and also play Mother Earth left with no trees

Mother nature kindly forgive us Polluting the mother Earth can cause many diseases

And make this monster go away If we cut trees it will be a siege for us.

         Henna Narang (Class IV)
With this pollution, where will we live?

Will we survive or run to doctor to revive?

We will yelp for the help but no one to help

We will stop flying in the sky

Earth is a treasure for us

let us all come together to protect

It's gonna be a great pleasure for all of us.

                                                                  Ivyan Gaur (Class VI)

THIS IS THE FUTURE WORLD I SEE
As I close my eyes to envision the future world, Blake's words resonate in my
senses-

'To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour'

Setting aside all the paradoxes and the suffering of the pandemic at present, the
future world I see is the bouquet of myriad colours of love, hope and space. It's a
place where all the elements of nature are in harmony; where there are no tussles
and ego struggles; where there is not a man against another, where there is not a
species threatened by another; where the seasons spiral in graceful symphony with
the elements, where the elements are in most pristine form; where the only
weapon we can useis “Six feet apart but together at heart”.

                                                     Akshara Waie (Class VI)
