      Program Objectives of the SAMPOORNA VIDYA Scholarship
The Sampoorna Vidya Scholarship program, an initiative by the “The Bangalore School Trust” aims at
achieving the following:

   1. To ensure that every child at TGSB obtains “Genuine Life Skills” in keeping with the vision of the
      school. These “Life Skills” enable him / her to obtain long term success both in professional and
      personal life.
   2. To focus on intellectual, emotional and all round development of every child thereby building
      holistic, well rounded and responsible citizens of the future.
   3. To give impetus both to the academic development and to the development of other faculties thereby
      making each child better equipped to handle the future challenges of the real world.
   4. To recognize latent talents and hone these to achieve excellence
   5. Last but not the least to create “ young achievers”.

Instructions for the Sampoorna Vidya Scholarship Applicants:

Before completing the application form, please read the instructions as detailed below:

 Please check with the school for availability of scholarships and application deadlines. Please note that the
scholarships will be issued at the sole discretion of the Management of “The Bangalore School Trust”, to
deserving applicants in keeping with the guidelines and objectives of the Scholarship program. However,
the Management of “The Bangalore School Trust” reserves the right to modify, review or revoke this
scholarship depending on the change in circumstances for the issue of such scholarships.

Also please note that the said scholarship originally given to a particular applicant can be withdrawn if he /
she has been found misrepresenting facts. He / She can also be withdrawn the scholarship if he / she has
produced documents that are either found to be forged or false in any manner. Any other information
provided or action by the applicant or his / her parent with the intention to deceive or that is found to be
misleading will warrant automatic disqualification from the original issue of such scholarship.

Also please note that there will be a continuous assessment of this scholarship program every year, which
makes students promoted or applying for admission into standards Ist to Vth standards eligible to reapply /
apply for this scholarship. Thus every student who obtains a scholarship program for a given academic year
will be subject to a reassessment for that scholarship program along with the other applicants for the
subsequent years, in keeping with the policies for issue of this scholarship program.

Eligibility criteria for the “Sampoorna Vidya” scholarship program:

Applicants for whom these scholarships are available:

   -    Please note that all applicants applying for the “Sampoorna Vidya” scholarship program is available
        only for eligible students seeking admission or being promoted from the same school into classes I
        to V standards only.
   -
        They must have been promoted into any of the above mentioned standards by any of the following
        school boards in order to gain admission into the subsequent standards:
        1) Secondary School Board
        2)
            CBSE Board – Central Board of Secondary Education
        3)
            ICSE Board – Indian Council of Secondary Education or
        4)
            Any other school board, whether in India or abroad that is recognized for admitting into the
            ICSE stream of education

The Entrance Test:

All these eligible applicants should have successfully completed the Basic Entrance Test and qualified for
an admission under the General Admission process.

The Application Form:

Once, you have ensured that the above mentioned are in order please go ahead and apply for the
scholarship. The procedure for applying for the scholarship is as follows:

   1)   Collect the application form from the Admissions office.
   2)   Please do not leave any box unchecked or any question unanswered
   3)   Please ensure that you use bold letters wherever boxes need to be filled.
   4)   Please ensure that you use only ball point pen – either black or blue.
   5)   Please ensure that passport size photographs are affixed wherever relevant.
   6)   Please also ensure that you affix photocopies of all relevant documents along with the application for
        a scholarship. This must include :
            – a) All relevant academic records for the previous grades as applicable.
            – b) Any other document to substantiate “Scholastic ability”
            – c) Documents that bring out all kinds of past achievements both Co-curricular and
               extracurricular activities
            – d) Original Letters of Recommendation / Reference from a teacher, a peer or someone who
               can provide a good assessment of your strengths and weaknesses. Please provide his/her
               name, designation, place of work, phone no., email-id and other contact details. Letters of
               recommendation / reference from a blood relative or a close family member will not be a
               valid letter of recommendation / reference.
