Philadelphia, May 6th, 2019 - s.m.a.r.t. SAP S/4HANA migration – with high speed and
maximum added value for the new SAP standard. Under this headline, the management
consultancy cbs Corporate Business Solutions will present its portfolio at the cloud and
business technology conference SAPPHIRE NOW and the ASUG Annual Conference on May 7-
9, 2019 in Orlando, Florida (booth 2457). With thousands of enterprises preparing their
migration to S/4HANA, each will have to choose its own transformation path – which is why
fast, efficient, customer-specific solutions are in demand. In s.m.a.r.t. portfolio, cbs now

At the same time, cbs is further expanding its cooperation network with local partners in the

Vice President of cbs Americas. “The conference gives us the opportunity to exchange ideas
with new and existing SAP customers. We’ll learn more about the current challenges
companies are facing, as well.”
The transition to SAP S/4HANA is currently a major topic in the SAP community. Almost every
company that uses SAP is dealing with similar questions, and tens of thousands of

out of alternative options to pure Greenfield or Brownfield approach for the move to SAP
S/4HANA and any large enterprise with complex installations and heterogeneous
organizational and process landscapes should come to our booth to find out about a brand-
new and spectacular success story involving our reference customer Viessmann”, Praefcke
continues. “We cordially invite industrial companies, partners, and those responsible for SAP

In its Viessmann project, cbs followed a “big-bang” approach in carrying out an SAP S/4HANA
migration for the prominent heating technology group. The world's largest S/4 transformation
thus far in an industrial environment was successfully completed in record time: In just a few
months, 23 production companies and 120 sales offices worldwide were migrated to the new
system release 1809. A total of 190 company codes and 25 billion data records had to be
transferred, and more than 6,000 users were affected by the changeover.
cbs also has something special planned for the conference in Orlando. On Wednesday, May 9
from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, it will invite customers and interested participants to an exclusive
"German Beer Event" at booth 2457.

Focus on speed and value-adding business processes
The cbs subsidiary leogistics will also be on hand at the cbs booth at SAPPHIRE. As SAP logistics
partner and solution provider, the consultancy supports companies in optimizing complex
logistics scenarios and process automation with the leogistics digital supply chain (DSC)
especially supporting complex scenarios for the execution of inbound and outbound logistics
processes. By means of the leogistics DSC suite clients are now able to manage an end-2-end
logistics process including track and trace, ETA prediction, automated slot management and
check-in/check-out and dock-door scheduling as well as Yard Management. It also advises
industrial companies in the U.S. on digitalization solutions in the areas of site execution, rail
logistics, and port operations in connection with IoT.

The s.m.a.r.t. approach enables companies to move to SAP S/4HANA with maximum added
value, without technical restrictions, and in record time. Thus, there is the chance to get rid of
ballast. The customer can specifically dispose of obsolete data, outdated structures and
reports, developments and process inventories that are no longer required. In addition, the
customer can transfer historical data; which is impossible with classical migration methods.
Additionally, the customer may flexibly decide on the type of conversion and migration
scenario - whether as a big bang or step by step. Existing approaches can be refined or
combined in an individual mix with precisely fitting parts of Green- and Brownfield.
Another big advantage of s.m.a.r.t.: A new dimension of value creation orientation is created.
This is because the cbs consultants focus on the value-adding processes in the process design.
When redesigning, they can proceed selectively and concentrate on those structures,
processes, standards and data whose change offers added value.
With SAP maintenance for legacy systems set to expire as early as 2025, almost every company
that uses SAP is about to move to SAP S/4HANA. "More and more big global players are
