Saturday October 3rd; 6 pm - “The classic guitar across Cuba and Spain”
Pieces of Paco de Lucía, Malats, Albèniz, Tàrrega, Brouwer & Barrios Magoré

Alì Arango, guitar
He got a degree at “Amadeo Roldán” Conservatory in 2001. At the same
time he was pupil of Antonio Alberto Rodrìguez and Joaquìn Clerch. He was
given lessons by Leo Brower, besides participating in various projects with
him.
He was awarded various prizes in international competitions, such as: first
prize “Alhambra” for the new Spanish creation and Audience prize in “XII
international competition of Guitarra Alhambra” (Valencia, Spain); first prize
in the “VI International Guitar Meeting” Norba Cesarina (Càceres, Spain);
first prize in the Barcelona Music Palace competition “El Primer Palau”; first
prize in the “Düsseldorfer Gitarfestival” (Germany), among many others.

In 2010 he toured Catalonia as a soloist and Cuba with the Orquesta
Sinfònica Nacional, invited by Leo Brouwer and performed the “Aranjuez
Concert” at the age of 19. He participated in the international premiere of
three of Leo Brouwer’s works: “Cuban landscape with rain”, “Gismontiana”
Ritual Dances and Festivals Series n1. He collaborated in CDs recordings
such as: “Homo Ludens” by Leo Brouwer and “Talking to the Universe” by
Aldo Lòpez Gavilàn. In 2005 he was awarded a 9-month grant by the
“Fundaciòn Antonio Gala” for young creators (Còrdoba, Spain). His works as
a composer include solo-guitar works, guitar and other instruments duets,
other types of chamber and audio vision music, art-videos and
documentaries. He is currently part of TRAZA QUARTET which includes two
guitars, violin and cello. He’s also a member of the Spanish classical music
quartet PROYECTO AMOR BRUJO, together with pianist Daniel Ligorio,
castanets player Mar Bezana and dancer Katia Moro. Alì Arango plays with a
guitar of the XXX Anniversary of luthier Paco Santiago Marìn and another of
luthier Yuichi Imai.

Cosmos Quartet
Helena Satué, violin. Bernat Prat, violin. Carlota Amargós, viola. Oriol Prat,
cello
The Cosmos Quartet was founded in 2013 by four Catalan musicians of two
different generations thanks to friendship and complicity among them. Each
of its members has kept working worldwide as a soloist, chamber and
orchestra musician, together with professors and in various schools of
London, Paris, Genève, Colonia, Stuttgart, Basilea and Michigan (USA).
They were given lessons and advice by professors such as Rainer Schmidt,
Johannes Meissl, Hatto Beyerle, Miguel da Silva, Quartetto di Cremona,
Anita Mitterer, los Mosaïques Cuarteto, Patrick Judt, Evgenia Ephstein and
the Prazac Quartet.
Even though it is young, the Cosmos Cuarteto is widely known for recently
winning the first prize of the International Competition of Chamber Music
“Mirabent I Magrans” in Sitges, the chamber music prize of ISA Festival
(Kammermusik Preis 2014), and also the Artis Cuarteto prize for the best
string quartet performance at ISA 2014.
They were invited at the Festival de la Fundaciòn Monteleòn in 2014, as
they were the only Spanish string quartet to have been selected. Besides
their various concerts in Catalonia, they performed in Austria, like Gloggnitz
and Reichenau, sharing the stage with musicians such as Schmuel
Ashkenazi or Hagai Shaham. Last August they performed live for the
Austrian radio in the ORFKulturhaus of Wien. The quartet’s future projects
include participation at the “Aix en Provence” Festival, within the framework
of the Acadèmie Mozart (France), as well as the East Neuk Festival (UK).

Laia Montserrat (violin)
Laia Montserrat was in Barcelona in 1996. At the age of 14 she made her
debut at the New York Carnegie Hall. She won 1st prizes in 23 competitions
in UK, New York, Luxemburg, Paris, Romania, Spain and Italy. She recorded
for the Catalan television, Spanish National television and radio BBC. Laia
has performed in UK, Austria, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro and in 2012
toured the United States, including places like Virginia University, New York
University and again in May 2012 at the Carnegie Hall. Laia plays a XVII-
century Italia violin given by Artur Betz (Germany).

“I believe it is not possible to not remember the Sibelius violin concert after
Laia performance!”

Josep Buforn, piano
Born in Barcelona, He studied at the Conservatorio Superior Municipal de
Mùsica de Barcelona with María Jesús Crespo, gaining the highest
classifications and honor prizes, as well as winning various prizes in piano
competition.
He has longstanding experience as a repertory and supporting musician,
starting at the age of 11 in the widely known Coro Vivaldi of Barcelona. He
is currently full professor pianist of the singing lectures of the Palau de la
Mùsica Catalana, accompanist of the Coro Joven del Orfeó Catalán,
supporting pianist of the Barcelona International Academy “Concertante”
together with the distinguished tenor Raúl Jiménez. He is also professor of
singing repertory at the Conservatorio Superior del Liceo de Barcelona. He
collaborated various times with the Peralada Festival, Gran Teatro del Liceo,
Coro de Cámara del Palau de la Música, which brought him to support
international singers and operas.
He has sometimes performed as a soloist, for example in the interpretation
of the Concert n.9 of Mozart at the Palau de la Música, piano and verse
Concert by Guinovart in the Winterthur Axa Auditorio. He recorded for RNE
and Catalunya Música in various occasions, together with violinist Oksana
Solovieva, with whom he forms the group “Granados Duo”, collaborating
with other groups such as the Orquesta Sinfonica de Barcelona y Nacional
de Cataluña, Joven Orquesta Nacional de Cataluña, Banda Municipal de
Barcelona o la Orquesta Sinfonica del Vallés.

Program with various opera arias

Serena Sáenz, soprano
Born in Barcelona in 1994, made her debut at the age of 13 at the Gran
Teatro del Liceo within the project Ópera en secundaria as the protagonist
of the “Brundibar” and “The Little Sweep” operas.
Since 2010 she’s been a member of the Coro Joven del Orfeo Catalan. In
2012 she performed as a soloist soprano in the Requiem de Fauré in the
Auditory, with the Coro de Camara del Palau de la Música and the following
year she played the role of Belinda in the baroque opera “Dido and Enea”.
After getting the Music Professional Degree in her specialty which is Singing,
under the teaching of Anna Olleta, she is now studying at the
Conservatorio del Liceo in Barcelona, thanks to a grant for young artists
given by the Ferrer-Salat Foundation.
Her artistic formation doesn’t include only Conservatory. She had
Masterclass with Montserrat Caballé, Ana Luisa Chova and Riccardo Frizz,
among the others. Besides, she keeps training as a dancer in all its
disciplines, and interpretation.
She was awarded the second prize of the Camerata Sant Cugat Competition
in July 2014.

Marc Serra, piano
Marc Serra started studying piano at the age of 5. Later he attends the
Grado Medio in the Isaac Albéniz Conservatory of Girona, as a pupil of
Montserrat Casas. Currently he studies at the ESMuC (Escuela Superior de
Música de Cataluña) with María Jesús Crespo as her teacher. He was
awarded in various competitions, such as the first prize of the DBUT!
Competition of Girona (2013), first prize in the Interpretation Competition
Isaac Albéniz (2004, 2005, 2008), honor prize in the Barcelona Music
International Forum Competition (2008), second prize of the autonomic
stage in the Competition of Intercentros de Juventudes Musicales de Santa
Cristina de Aro (2006).
During his formation he was adviced by professors like Luiz de Moura
Castro, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Yong Hi Moon, Wolfram Rieger, Ramón
Coll, Francisco Poyato, Vladislav Bronevetzky, Jun Kanno, Martin Hughes,
Leonel Morales, Luis Rodríguez, among the others.
He made his debut as a soloist with the Orquesta del Conservatorio de
Girona at the Auditorio Palacio de Congresos de Girona in 2007. He also
performed in the series Las Tardes de Vic as a chamber musician and in the
Hall 3 Tete Montoliu of the Barcelona Auditory.

Aitor Llimerá, oboe
He starts his music studies with his father Vicente Llimerà, and finishes at
the Superior Music Conservatory “Joaquín Rodrigo” in Valencia, with
Francisco Salanova. He attends improving courses with L. Koch, H.
Schellenberger, D. Walter, S. Schilli, R. Tamarit, J. Fuster, F. Schäfer,
FJValero -Castells y A. Faus.
He collaborated with the Grupo Instrumental of Valencia, Orquesta Sinfónica
de Valencia, la OBC, Orquesta Nacional de España. Member of the Joven
Orquesta de la Generalitat Valenciana and the JONDE and invited as main
oboe in the Orquesta Juvenil Iberoamericana and the Orquesta Sinfónica
CAF de Jóvenes Latinoamericanos, both directed by Gustavo Dudamel.

Pieces of Couperin, Boulez, Messiaen, Brotons, Chopin, Dutilleux and
Debussy

Laura Farré, piano
Laura Farré Rozada started her music carreer as a young kid in the music
school of Vilanova y la Geltrú, and manages to learn three very different
instruments at the same time: piano, battery and guitar. She ends up
specializing in piano and gets an honor degree at the Conservatorio
Principal de Barcelona (BRUC), as a pupil of Jordi Vilaprinyó. He’s currently
attending the last form of Interpretation at the Escuela Superior de Música
de Cataluña (ESMUC) with Jean-François Dichamp, also professor at the
Paris Conservatory (CNSDMP), who encouraged him to become especially
interested in the French Music and the XX and XXI centuries repertories. In
many occasions he was adviced by Stanislav Pochekin, Mikhail
Voskresensky, Felix Gottlieb, Konrad Elser, Boris Berman, Dmitri Alexeev,
Albert Tarakanova y Kennedy Moretti, among the others; and he trained to
use the Alexander technique with pianist Nelly Ben-Or.
Because of his multiples interests, he chose an interdisciplinary formation:
he combined the artistic studies with Maths and various musical projects,
which allowed him to work out arrangements for the Swedish-hearted
Köörmit, participated in coral festivals in Russia and Germany; and
collaborated with artists such as Love of Lesbian, Zahara and The Pinker
Tones.
One of his aims is to specialize in investigation and distribution of unknown
piano repertory. He has recently premiered in Spain Work 33: 8 of
Bulgarian composer, Vladimir Djambazov.

Saturday, November 21st; 6 pm - Fifth and Sixth cello suites by J. S. Bach
Pieces of J. S. Bach

Amat Santacana, cello
He’s studying with Suzana Stefanovic and Peter Thiemann in Barcelona. His
higher education took place in Salamanca with Iagoba Fanlo and Aldo Mata
in cello and with Kennedy Moretti and Arnau Tomás in chamber music. He
has completed his formation in Wien with Wolfgang Herzer and Howard
Penny, in Stuttgart with the Melos Quartet and in Zurich with Roel Dieltiens.
He was given lessons by prestigious cello players like Anner Bylsma, Marçal
Cervera, Christophe Coin, David Geringas, Bernard Greenhouse, Daniel
Grosgurin, Philippe Müller, Miklós Perényi and Janos Starker. He also
attended chamber music courses with Rainer Schmidt, Ferenc Rados and
György Kurtág.
He was awarded the prizes Paper de Música de Capellades (2004) and the
consolation prize El Primer Palau (2004) with the Arcuus Quartet and was
awarded in the cello competition Florian de O'Campo en Zamora (2002) and
the Nick Preis de Zurich (2006).
In November 2013 he was awarded the forst prize ex aequo and the
audience prize in the International Bach Competition, at the Circulo de
Bellas Artes de Madrid.
In 2006 he founded the Cuarteto Qvixote with which he performed in all
Europe and South America. They formed part of the European Chamber
Music Academy where they were given lessons by prestigious masters like
Hatto Beyerle, Johannes Meissl, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Christoph Richter,
among the others, and won the first prizes in the chamber competitions
José Mirabent i Magrans de Sitges (2007) and Montserrat Alavedra de
Terrassa (2008). He was cello professor at the municipal music school
“Robert Gerhard” in Valls, at the Escolania de Montserrat, at the
Conservatorio Municipal de Musica de Manresa and the Conservatorio
Profesional del Liceo de Barcelona. He has also given master lessons in
Venezuela and Bolivia and is regularly invited as a professor in the Joven
Orquesta Nacional de Cataluña. The disc of cello sonatas he recorded with
the Ensemble Explorations de Roel Dieltiens has been awarded the prize
Editors’ choice of the Gramophone magazine.
In the field of interpretation with musical instruments, he also played with
the Orquesta Barroca de Mallorca of Barry Sargent, and the Orquesta del
Montsalvat. During 2014 he’s interpreting the entire six solo-cello suites de
J.S. Bach. His repertory includes 400 years of solo cello music, from the
first works of the XVII to contemporary works. He first showed solo-cello
Pieces of Joaquin Homs and interpreted for the first time in Spain Geonyong
Lee work “Song in the dusk II”.

Almudena Vega, transverse flute
Almudena González Vega studied at the Comservatorio Superior de Granada
qith Carlos Chornet, at the Liceu de Barcelona with Julia Gallego and at the
College of Music with Wissam Boustany, Emer McDonough and Sue Thomas.
Later he moves to Colonia where he studies with Robert Winn.
She won the prizes “Special Award” at the “British Flute Society Young Artist
Competition 2010” and at the "Harold Clark Woodwind Competition 2010".
In 2011 she won the special prize with the quintet “Sideris” at the “OnWing
Festival” en Groningen.
Almudena was invited to various festivals such as “Festival de Pedraza
Noche de las velas", the "British Flute Society Festival" in London, the
"CAMAC Paris Harp Festival", the "Beethoven Festival" in Bonn, the "Time
and space Festival” the Royal Observatory of London, the festival" Jonh
Cage Cenntenial "at the English National Opera among others.
She collaborated with the orchestras London Mahler Orchestra, London
Youth Symphony Orchestra, BCN216, Janáček Youth Philharmonic
Orchestra, ISSO - International Students Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble
XXI, Academia de la Orquesta Ciudad de Granada and in chamber music
she’s member of Sideris Quinteto , Bardac Trío, Brotons Duo, London Sound
Painting Orchestra, performing in Spain, Italy, England, Holland, France and
Germany, visiting halls like South Bank Centre, English National Opera
Colliseum, Ronnie Scotts, el Auditori de Barcelona, Auditorio Manuel de
Falla, Sala María Cristina, Teatro de la Comedia Clermond Ferrand, Teatro
Cervantes and Teatro Echegaray de Málaga. Besides interpretation,
Almudena Vega has a very important writing career.

Cristina Naranjo, piano
She was born in Las Palmas de Canariain 1990. She started playing piano at
the age of 7 with her mother, Maria del Carmen Perez. She studies at the
Conservatorio Profesional de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with Professor
Emilio Tabraue and Galyna Neporozhnya. She continues her studies at the
Conservatorio Superior de Badajoz with professor Alexander Kandelaki,
getting the highest qualifications and the Premio Extraordinario de Fin de
Carrera.
She was awarded in a large number of national and international
competitions such as Ciudad de Manresa (Barcelona), Jacinto Guerrero
(Toledo), El Ejido (Almería), Ciudad de Carlet (Valencia), Ciudad de
Albacete, Infanta Cristina (Madrid), Pedro Espinosa (Gran Canaria), Cidade
do Fundão (Portugal), Veguellina de Órbigo (León), San Sebastián, Esteban
Sánchez (Cáceres), Santa Cecilia (Oporto), among others.
Cristina has performed around the whole Spain and as a soloist with
orchestra various times, interpreting the Mozart Concert n. 12 (K. 414) at
the Auditorio Nacional de Musica de Madrid, the Saint-Saëns Concert n. 2 in
Badajoz and the Schumann Concert in Espírito Santo (Brazil). She’s a
member of EMCY and Davidsbündler Associations, whose aim is to promote
young talents.
She will soon record a new CD under the KNS Classical record label. She will
also perform during the next season at the Teatro Romano de Mérida and in
France. She’s currently attending postgraduate courses with professor
Stanislav Pochekin at the Liceu de Barcelona.

Saturday, December 5th, 6 pm - Adolphe Sax Tribute
Pieces of Milhaud, Bonneau and Iturralde

Jordi Paulí i Safont, sax
Jordi Paulí i Safont (Badalona, 1969) plays tenor, saxophone, piano and
clarinet, and is also Sardana composer.
He started studying music at the Conservatorio Municipal de Música of
Badalona and tenor at the verse school Marinada with professor Jose
Colomer. Then continued at the Conservatorio Municipal de Barcelona with
Jaume Vilà. As a saxophonist he was pupil of Ricardo Rueda, Salvador López
and attended courses with Pedro Iturralde y Perico Sambeat. He is tenor,
soprano and saxophone professor. On June 20th 1996 he was awarded the
honor prize for saxophone higher grade at the Palau de la Música Catalana.
At the age of 11 he started the verse school Marinada in Badalona. With 16
he enters the copla Ramblas and one year later the San Jorge until 1999,
when he became a member of the Orquesta Maravella. As an
instrumentalist he was part of: Rueda de saxos, Saxocromia, Cobla Sant
Jordi-Ciudad de Barcelona, Cobla Bohemia, Blue Big Band del Aula de Jazz
de Barcelona, Big band del EMB de Badalona, Orquesta Maravella , la Banda
Municipal de Barcelona, La Girona Jazz Project, Gironsax, Jazz de Copas,
Jordi Paulí Quartet, Duet con Santi Escura, Orquesta Filarmónica de
Cataluña, Cobla de Cámara de Cataluña and La Salseta del Poble Sec. He
collaborated with Els Joglars, Lluís Llach, Santi Arisa, Joan Albert Amargós,
Tactequeté, Coetus, Orchestre 2e2m du Paris, etc.
With his group “Jordi Paulí Cuarteto” he made a very interesting job in jazz
by playing tenor and improvise with the instrument.

In the pedagogic field he was professor at the Orfeó de Sants in Barcelona
and the Sabadell music school in Badalona and is currently saxophone and
tenor professor at the Conservatorio Municipal de Música de Vilanova y la
Geltrú. At the age of 12 he composes his first Sardana, Al abuelo Peret, but
it was not until 1990 that he started to compose sardanas quite regularly,
and they are now almost 60. As a music composer he was awarded various
prizes, among which the critique prize in the competition Sardana del Año
2004 with the composition Foro en Banyoles, and the first consolation prize
for Mariona a la Sardana del Año 2006. He also composed jazz pieces for his
grupo and traditional music like “Baile de San Anastasio”, which is being
interpreted everu year in Badalona for the May Festivals. In the competition
“Sardana del Año 2010 his composition called “Alboroto” stood out, a visual
and acoustic show for two couples, symphonic band, jackdaws and
bagpipes. He’s currentle the director of the “Cobla Maricel” of Sitges and
also directs “La Vilanova Big Band” at the Conservatorio Municipal de Música
“Maestro Montserrat” de Vilanova y la Geltrú.

Anna Roig Chertó, piano
Anna Roing Chertó attended her higher studies in piano at the Escuela
Superior de Cataluña with professor Leonid Sintsev. Later she is invited at
the Conservatorio Superior de Música of Saint Petersburgh to improve her
piano skills. She combined her education with the Joven Orquesta Nacional
de Cataluña, with which she gave concerts throughout Catalonia, working
with professors like Elisenda Carrasco, Manuel Valdivieso, Antoni Ros-
Marbà, Pierre Cao and Salvador Brotons. During her career she was
awarded various prizes and recognitions in the competitions "Villa de
Salou", "Ciudad de Manresa", "Podios de Sant Joan de Vilatorrada", "Villa de
Pons", "Concurso internacional de las Cortes A Tempo" and participated in
various concerts with chamber groups and as a soloist, such as at the
Auditorio Axa de Barcelona, at the auditorio María Planes de Terrassa, the
Ateneu Barcelonès,the auditorio de Villafranca, the auditorio de Cornellà,
the Sala Baremboim Said de Sevilla, the Auditorio de Barcelona, the Gran
Teatro del Liceo, and the el Auditorio Musicale de Módena (Italia), among
others. She’s now piano professor and supporting pianist at the
Conservatorio Municipal Maestro Montserrat de Vilanova y la Geltrú, and
participates in various groups like Orquesta de cámara Conjunto XXI !,
JONC Filarmonía, Banda Sinfónica de Badalona , Banda de Vilanova y la
Geltrú, orquesta del Penedès and Orquesta de Cámara Catalana.

Pieces of Boccherini, Kummer, Haydn, J.S. Bach and Mozart.

Elisa González-Pola, cello
She starts studying music at the Conservatorio Julián Orbón de Áviles
(Asturias) with professor Katalin Islas. Later, she is given lessons by Viguen
Sarkissov at the Conservatorio Eduardo Martínez Torner de Oviedo and
finishes her higher studies with Aldo Mata at the Conservatorio Superior de
Salamanca. Later, she moved to Barcelona to attend postgraduate courses
with Damián Mártinez at the Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña. She
also studied with María de Macedo and attended courses and lessons with
Alexander Kniazev, Vladimir Tonkha, Asier Polo, Damián Martínez, Amit
Peled, Marçal Cervera, Peter Bruns y Lluís Claret. In 2000 she was awarded
the second prize of Modalidad B in the Concurso Nacional de Violonchelo
"Villa de Llanes" and the Premio Especial of "Mejor Intérprete Asturiano".
She was a member of Orquesta de la Academia del Liceo during seasons
2007-2008 and 2008-2009. She collaborates with Orquesta Sinfonica de
Catilla y Leon, Oviedo Filarmonia, Orquesta del Gran Teatro del Liceo, OBC,
OAJC and Orquesta Amigos de la Unesco.

Joan Antoni Pich, cello
He studied cello with Mark Friedhoff and Peter Thiemann in Barcelona, with
María de Macedo in Madrid and Michal Müller in La Haya (Holland), besides
participating in masters in the whole Europe with Janos Starker, Bernard
Greenhouse, Lluís Claret, Cristophe Coin or memebrs of Aban Berg quartet.
He was awarded in the competitions 'Ciudad de Manresa', 'Paper de Música'
de Capellades y 'Pedro Bote' de Villafranca de los Barros (Badajoz) in a duet
with pianist Alex Ramírez.
He colaborates often with symphonic orchestras of Barcelona and of Gran
Teatro del Liceo, participates in various chamber and contemporary music
groups, like BCN216, Kammart or Murtra Ensemble, and in various projects
linked to improvisation and current creation.
He’s been cello professor at the Escuela de Música de Barcelona since 2005,
and the IEA Oriol Martorell since 2009. He also participated as a profesor in
international music competition Ripoll in 2008.

Maria Teresa Garrigosa, soprano
She was born in Barcelona, studied singing at the Conservatorio Superior
Municipal de Mùsica with Mirian Franchieri and Enriqueta Tarrés, and
repertory with Manuel García Morante, getting the Honor prize for Grado
Medio de Canto and the Premio Extraordinario del Grado Superior. Later she
worked with Xavier Torra, Kurt Widmer and David-Wilson Johnson.
In 1982 she first performed in the Palau de la Musica Catalana interpreting
the Te Deum by M.A. Charpentier. She collaborated with the Capilla Real de
Cataluña in the works “Una cosa rara” de Vicente Martín Soler and “Orfeo”
by Monteverdi interpreted in Gran Teatro del Liceo de Barcelona, Auditorio
Nacional de Madrid and Fundaçao Gulbenkian de Lisboa. In 1992 she first
performed in the Oratorio de Abraham de José Crivillé, in 1997 first showed
the work “Confidencias a Antonio Machado” by José Luis Guzmán with the
Orquesta Sinfónica del Vallés and in 2007 the second scene of Oratorio-
Ballet Homenaje Marta Graham: “Todo cambia, la única verdad” by Ramon
Humer, among other works. She sang directed by Laszi Heltay, Jordi Savall,
Jordi Mora, Tobias Gossman y Jordi Casas, among others.
She records for Auvidis, Ars Armónica, La mano de Guido, Columna Música
y also Cataluña Música y Radio Nacional de España. Among her recordings:
Verdaguer y el Lied Catalán (2005), Ramon Humet, Todo cambia la única
verdad (2007), Compositores Catalanas - Generación Modernista (2008),
Jaume Bosch y Renard. Obras para voz y guitarra (2010), Compositores
Catalanas - Generación Noucentista (2014) y Antonio Massana, Integral
Canciones (2015).
In 2013 she was awarded the Octavo galardón Felip Pedrell by the
Asociación Musical de Maestro Directores, for her dedication in investigation,
recovery and interpretation of catalan musicians. She combines her
concerts with teaching singing at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de
Vila-seca.

Sílvia Vidal Puerta, piano
Sílvia Vidal (Martorell, 1964) is a pianist with a deep interest in current
music, which has brought her to develop various projects such as the
combination of piano with live electronic music, the disclosure of current
composers and the pedagogic projection of these projects. It was a great
experience to work next to composers like Joan Guinjoan, Jordi Rossinyol,
Benet Casablancas, Josep Maria Guix y Ramon Humet among others. On the
other hand, since the start of her career, her priority has been to play in
groups. Over the years she developed many chamber music projects, like
Trío Werther, or collaboration with Percussions de Barcelona and pianist
Jordi Masó,as well as member of Ensembles like Vuelo ad Libitum.
Some of her most important concerts took place in: : Sala Tanna Schulich
de la Universidad McGill de Montreal (Canadá), Auditori de Barcelona,
Festival Sinkro de música electroacústica de Vitoria, Mostly Modern Festival
(Dublín-Irlanda) , Nacional de Madrid, College d'Espagne en París,
conciertos en Amman (Jordania) and Beirut (Líbano).
Among his recorded projects: Canción, Fiesta y Danza (1999, Trío Werther),
Juguetes Musicales (2001, piano solo), y Moon (2005, piano y electrónica),
Ramon Humet, Escenas del bosque (2007, cámara y piano) y Compositores
Catalanes-Generación Noucentista (2014, voz y piano). She has also
published Ballmanetes (1996, Ed. Boileau), a 4-hands piano repertory for
children.
Silvia Vilad was educated by Paula Torrontegui, under whose direction she
obtained Matrícula y Premio de Honor fin de Carrera, by Miquel Farré, who
gave her valuable advice, and György Nador, during her studies at
Academia Franz Liszt de Budapest. Since 1996 she’s been piano professor
at the Escuela Municipal de Música de Cambrils.
