Shore Middle School 2018-2019
                   6th Grade Supply List
ALL 6th grade students need the following items; ​these items should be
replaced as needed throughout the school year:

   ● Assignment Notebook (required) - purchase in main office ($3.50)
   ● Headphones
   ● 2 - 24-count boxes of sharpened #2 pencils (one box to be given to your advisory
     teacher and one to be kept in your pencil pouch/locker)
   ● Pencil Pouch (soft; not hard plastic) to hold the following items:
          ○ MANY Pencils
          ○ Pens
          ○ Colored Pencils (to travel from class to class)
          ○ Colored Pens (any color for Social Studies)
          ○ 4 Dry-Erase Markers (2 for math class and 2 in pencil pouch)
          ○ 2 Highlighters (any color to travel from class to class)
   ● 1 multi pack of ​MINI ​post its - ANY COLOR (ELA)
   ● 3 - 50-70 page ‘traditional’ Composition Book - with no plastic covers (ELA,
     Math, PE/Health)
   ● 4 - packages of loose leaf paper (Math, Social Studies, ELA, and Health/P.E.)
   ● 5 - ​sturdy​ two pocket folders to last the whole year.
          ○ 1 Blue folder (Math)
          ○ 1 Green folder (Science)
          ○ 1 Yellow folder (Social Studies - Randa Only)
          ○ 1 Red Folder (ELA)
          ○ 1 Purple Folder (Health/P.E.)
   ● 1” binder (Social Studies - Compton and Taylor)
   ● Divider Tabs for binder (8 tabs)
   ● 1- Tissue box (to be given to advisory teacher)
   ● 1- Clorox Wipes Container (to be given to advisory teacher)

**Only need to purchase items for the electives your child will be taking**

   ● Students taking ROBOTICS AND DESIGN will also need:
        ○ 1 two pocket folder (of any color or design)
        ○ 1 composition notebook
● Students taking ART will also need:
  (ALL THESE SUPPLIES WILL STAY IN ART ROOM)
     ○ A pencil pouch, box, or container for supplies
     ○ #2 Pencils, with eraser, not mechanical
     ○ 1 hand held sharpener
     ○ 1 large eraser
     ○ 1 black Fine Point Sharpie Marker
     ○ Color Pencils at least 24 (Prismacolor Premier are recommended, but not required)
     ○ 1 container of Clorox wipes
     ○ Paint-shirt (optional)

● Students taking CHOIR will also need:
     ○ 1 two pocket folder (of any color or design)
     ○ 1 red or blue pen

● Students taking BAND will also need:
     ○ Essential Elements Book 1 - Same book from 5th grade band
     ○ Name tag for instrument

● Students taking ORCHESTRA will also need:
     ○ Essential Elements - Book 1

All 7th grade students need the following; ​these items should be replaced as
needed throughout the school year:

   ● Assignment Notebook (Required) – purchase in main office ($3.50)
   ● A regular book bag to bring supplies to and from school
   ● (1) Pencil pouch (soft, not hard plastic) to carry the following:
         o Pencils
         o Pens
         o Highlighters
         o Colored Pencils
         o Earbuds
   ● (1) Box of tissues (to be given to your advisory teacher)
   ● (1) Clorox Wipes Container (to be given to advisory teacher)
   ● (1) 12 oz. Bottle of Hand Sanitizer (to be given to advisory teacher)
   ● Two-Pocket Folders for each class:
         ○ (2) Blue/Green folders (English)
         ○ (2) Green folders with prongs (Science)
         ○ (1) Red Folder (Math)
         ○ (1) Yellow Folders (World Studies)
         ○ (1) Purple or other color folder (Health/PE)
   ● (1) composition notebook (Math)
   ● (1) green spiral notebook (Science)
   ● (1) 3 subject spiral notebook (ELA)
   ● (2) expo markers (to be kept in math classroom)
   ● (5) packages of Loose leaf paper (one for each class)

   ● Scientific calculator for math (Suggested: Texas Instruments TI-30X IIS)
   ● Lock for gym locker
   ● Athletic shoes and clothes for PE

   ● 5 dividers
   ● 1 subject spiral notebook

Students taking Exploratory FCS need:
   ● (1) Two-pocket folder with prongs, any color
Students taking Flight and Space need:
   ● (1) Two-pocket folder, any color

Students taking Exploratory/General Art need:
   ● A pencil pouch, box, or container for supplies (supplies will stay in art room)
   ● #2 Pencils, with eraser, not mechanical
   ● 1 hand held sharpener
   ● 1 black Fine Point Sharpie Marker
   ● Color Pencils
   ● Paint-shirt (optional)

Students taking Fine Art need:
(If supplies are in good condition from 6th Grade they can be used for 7th Grade Fine
Art)
    ● A pencil pouch, box or container for supplies (supplies will stay in art room)
   ●   12 pack of regular pencils, not mechanical
   ●   1 hand held sharpener (necessary for colored pencils)
   ●   1 large eraser (kneaded, white or gum erasers are easiest on the paper)
   ●   Set of 24 or more colored pencils (Recommended-Prismacolor Premier)
   ●   1 Fine Point Sharpie marker
   ●   1 container of Clorox wipes
   ●   Paint-shirt (optional)

Students taking band need:
   ● Essential Elements Book 2 for your instrument (can be purchased at Arrowhead
     Music or Pfabe's Music)

    ● 1 large eraser (kneaded, white or gum erasers are easiest on the paper)
    ● Set of 24 or more colored pencils (Recommended-Prismacolor Premier)
    ● 2 black Sharpie markers - 1 fine point and 1 extra or ultra-fine point
    ● 1 container of Clorox wipes
    ● Sketchbook- 9”-12” (optional)
    ● Paint-shirt (optional)
