Hello there!
The 21st Annual Starlight Serenade raises unrestricted funds that, when combined with
grant funds, ensures that we meet our operating budget and continue to show up for
the families who rely on us. Founded in 2000, Hands4Hope LA (H4HLA) has made a
difference in the lives of thousands of youth and their families. H4HLA offers free
after-school STEAM programs for children ages 8-18, reduced-cost summer camps,
and parent support services.
The urgency of our work is greater than ever, yet the financial impact of the pandemic
cannot be overstated. We are incredibly grateful to Pat Prescott, 94.7 The Wave morning
show host, and Dave Koz, Grammy-nominated saxophonist, for making this year's Starlight
Serenade a night you won't want to miss. Please join us in making this community
event a success yet again.

Now more than ever, the Annual Starlight Serenade is Hands4Hope LA's greatest
philanthropic need. Our ability to plan and execute a safe reopening in 2021 was due,
in part, to generous contributions received at the 2020 Starlight Serenade @ Home.
From establishing new health guidelines, making modifications to the way we offer
programs, adding additional cleaning staff, and installing new technology, your
support is instrumental to funding these and other essential expenses. Members of the
community helped sustain our programming during the immense challenges of last
year. Today, we ask for your support as we look to offer children in NoHo an even
better 2021-2022 school year.

About our Event
Celebrating 21 years of community impact, this special benefit concert brings
together some of the brightest stars in smooth jazz for an evening of great
entertainment. Your investment will support the expansion to a second site, upgrade
our program offerings, and keep our programs free and very low cost.

About Us
Hands4Hope LA provides support to youth and their parents from low-income, underserved,
predominantly single-parent minority households to improve their quality of life. This is
accomplished by offering free S.T.E.A.M.- based (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and
Math) after-school programs, low-cost academic summer camp for youth ages 8 to 18 in a
safe, supportive and nurturing environment. Parents are supported through workshops,
individualized referrals and personalized care.

Food 4 the Soul
In the spring of 2021 Hands4Hope
LA held its inaugural Food 4 the
Soul virtual event. Host Liz Jenkins
(Blackish, American Horror Story)
was joined by a superstar lineup
who shared reflections, recipes, and
cooking demonstrations that
honored food's ability to nourish,
sustain, and connect us.
Food 4 the Soul was a huge success
FEATURED GUESTS:
with over $30,000 in proceeds
raised for our "Pandemic Parenting"
Carla Hall, Chef program. With these proceeds we

20th anniversary of Starlight
Serenade was at risk of not
