Adapted and directed by Tina Shuker-Abell
From the company that brought you Thumbelina.
‘When a child loves you… really loves you, then you become
real.’
Once upon a time, in a playroom bursting with marvellous
mechanical toys and astonishing automated knick-knacks,
there sat a very lonely and abandoned Velveteen Rabbit.
He waited and he wished for that one day when the boy
would swoop him in his arms again and the playful pair
would set off on many thrilling adventures. When that
magical day finally arrived, off they set to explore the
wonder of the world. Come along on their fantastical
journey and see the real transformation love can make.
In On The Act, Theatre Royal Wakefield’s young company
for aspiring theatre-makers, bring to life Margery William’s
heart-warming tale, with a mix of song, dance and
storytelling.
